The City Commission met in regular session,: Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call®
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March 3rd, 1952, were approved as read.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids on a
billing machine for the Wa_t.er and Garbage department; the bids received were tabulated
and held for further consideration; carried,. Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call®
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for receiving bids'.for
pipe,-fittings, etc. for the Water Department, the following awards were made:

Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for receiving bids, for
two police,cars; bids were received for tabulation and further consideration: carried,,
Carpenter, Burns, and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey,, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Commission having .heretofore
called for bids. for the sale . of a portion of Lot 11,, Block: 166, College Addition, the
bid of Guy X, Frost, in the sum of $15.00 was the only bid received, and it is ordered
that the City Engineer survey said property before final disposition is made of said
property: carried, Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that this being the time for receiving bids for
a postage machine, and the bid of the Pitney - Bowes, Inc. in the sum of $660,062'. was
the only one received; It is ordered that said bid be awarded to said Company:
carried,. Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
advertise for b ids by publication, as required by la.w for insurance for bodily
injury and property damage on automobile equipment owned by the City of Yakima- said
bids to be received on Monday, Marth 20th 1952 at 10:00 o clock: AleM-a: carried, 'Burnsy
Carpenter and Huey voting on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
advertise for bids by publication, as required by law, for the purchase of a four-(4)
door sedan for the Police department ;: said bids. to be received on Monday,, March 24th
]1952; at 10.460 A.M.., carried, Carpenter, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.
