The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns -and..C.ommissioners Carpenter and

-notice to bidders. for the.purchase of two Turbine Type Pumps. for• the Irrigation -
Departmentr. said bids, to' be received on Monday,, February 25, 1952;, at 10-00 ofclock k® .
Carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll calle
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that the City Clerk.is hereby instructed to give
notice to bidder--s for the purchase 'of a Utility Billing Machine for the City Treasurer;
said bide to be received on Monday, March 10th,. 1952: at 1.01:00 o® clack A..M. - carried -

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this.being the time for the hearing on the
Assessment Roll in LvI-.D® No. 717,, being the 33rd Avenue South Irrigation District, and
there being no objections in• writing or otherwise to `said assessment roll, or any part
tMreof'. It Is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1349 confirming said assessment roll and
every part thereof, be passed as read; carried, Burns:, Carpenter and Huey voting aye,
on roll call

any, part thereof. It i.s ordered that .Ordinance Nom •B -1350 confirming. -'said assessment

RESOLUTION NO :.C- 11003., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON.-
That it is . Its . intention .to impr ove the west, side - of South 9th
Street.; from Pacific Avenue to Rainier Street, by constructing.a. concrete sidewalk,
five feet width; :also,. to improve South 8th Street from Pacific Avenue to Washington
Street, by constructing concrete curbs_ and gutters. and concrete. sidewalks ' fire feet
in 'width; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance.. withl- the plans:
and specifications to be prepared by' the City Engineer and filed with the. City Clerk®
The district to b® served by and assessed for the abovve®
described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington` and .de cribed as
follows, to -with
Beginning.at a point on the south line of Pacific Avenue,
134.9 feet west. of South 8th Street; thence easterly along
the south line of Pacific Avenue to South 9th Street;
thence-southerly along South 9th Street to the north line
of.Ra nier Street; thence westerly along the north line
of Rainier Street to a point 133 *4 - feet east : - of. South 8th
Street -. thence .southerly to a point on the north line of
Washington Street, 1130 feet east of South 8th Street*.,

are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if are y, at a meeting of the
City .Commission to be held at its: office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima:

of March 1952- which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the.
method of payment for said improvement- and the City Clerk is hereby directea to give.
due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost.of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of
notices, -and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be born=e by and assessed
against all of the property leagally and properly' assessable therefor as provided by
law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby' - directed to submit -fo the
City Commission at or prior to the.date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data
and. other information required by law to be by him submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. C-1004,-BE IT' RESOLVED BY .THE. CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA.
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve Lincoln Avenue from Sixth Avenue North
to Sixteenth Avenue. North, by .removing the existing concrete curbs and•`gutters,'
widening the existing pavement, and constructing new curbs and g'utters'; all: of said
Improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to
be prepared by--the City Engineer. and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above- described'
improvement is . situate in Yakima County, Washington, . and described as follows,,. to -wit:
Beginning at the intera,ection of the west line of Pierce
Avenue with the- south line of Lincoln Avenue ;, thence
southerly along the west line of Pierce Avenue .a d.i,stance
of 120 feet; thence westerly and parallel with Lincoln
Avenue•to Sixteenth Avenue North; thence northerly
along Sixteenth' Avenue North to , -a- point .120 feet north
of Lincoln .Avenue; thence easterly and' parallel: with
Lincoln Avenue to Sixth Avenue North; thence southeasterly
along -Sixth Avenue -North to the North line of - Lincoln
Avenue;' thence westerly along said north line of the west
lane of Pierce Avenue; thence southerly to the point of
beginning®
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed" improvement -are,
hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City
Commission to be held at its office in the City Hail in the City of Yakima, Yakima.
County,Washington, at the hour of 10 00, o'clock- A.M, on Monday the l7th day of March,,
1952; which time and place are hereby fixed for the .hearing of all. matters relating to
said proposed - improveme nt or objections. thereto,, and for determining the method of
payment for-said improvement; _ and the. City Clerk is hereby directed "to give due notice
of said hearing and of, the intention to make the aforesaid Improvement*
The City of Yakima will do the required surfacing for this improvement.,
and all other costs: and expenses including the engineering,•inspection, advertising,
publication of notices and all other ®xpenses; incident thereto, shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the-property le Bally and properly assessable therefor as
provided by law and as ..above described; and.the City Engineer is hereby directed.to
submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for-said hearing,
