The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 24th, 1951, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for the . hearing on Resolution No'. C -9.95, providing for an irrigation •system from South Grandview Avenue; to Nob Hill Boulevard, and there being objections,•to� said improvement; It is ordered that said hearing be continued to Monday, January 7th.19'52, at 10;00 o'clock A. M.; carried, Burns., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call... Moved, by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for receiving bids for the purchase of a Motorcycle. for the Police Department, and two a ton trucks for the Electrical and Irrigation departments, the following awards were made: Poulin's Motorcycle Headquarters for Harley- Davidson, Model 52GA less trade in of old cycle in the total sum of $998.60. Wagner-Chevrolet-Company for 1952' Chevrolet 2 ton truck, less trade -in of 1935 Ford, or a total of $1,335.00. Weber- Chevrolet Company for 1952 Chevrolet a ton. truck for Irrigation, less trade - -in of 1929 model. A 12 dump truck, - or a total of $1,347.00; carried, Carpenter, Burns and Huey voting aye.on roll call. C. -998, BE IT RESOLVED BY' THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: Said improverrent to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves; and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed wI th the City Clerk.
