DECEMBER 17th, 1951
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter
and Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular-meeting of Monday, December 10th, 1951, were approved as
read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 722, for the construction of Curbs, Gutters: and Sidewalks,
on South Naches:Avenue, South 7th and other streets in said district; and there being
no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof:
It is ordered that Ordinance No. B-1336 confering said assessment roll and every part
thereof be passed as read: carried. Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye onlroll call.
ORDINANCE N0. g. 1336, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement
District No. 722 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1245 of the Ordinaz ces-
of the City of Yakima.
Moved bg_Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 725, .providing for the construction of a sewer on 33rd
Avenue North and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to daid assessment
roll, or any part thereof: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B-1337 confirming said
assessment roll, and ay.ery part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.

Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that,this:, being the time for receiving bids for
the purchase of equipment for the: Street and Sanitation departments, the following
awards were made. -
Power Sweeper for street department to Feenaughty Machenery Company in
the sum of $9,259.25.
T -.195a. Dodge 2 -ton truck for the Sanitation department in the. sum of
$2,329.64 and 1 - 1952 Studebaker 2 ton truck for the Sanitation
Department in the sum of $1,596.50, to Bell -Wyman and Cahoon Motor Co.
1 - 1952 Dodge 2 ton pickup for the Street Department s-in sum sum of
$1,691.79., to Bell- Wyman Co®
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to bidders by publication, as required by law, for the purchase of the following
equipment:,
One garbage bed for the Sanitation Department, on Monday, December
24th, .1951, at 10 o'clock A. M.
Two a: ton pick -up trucks, one for the Electrical Department ,aa d one
for the Irrigation Department, on Monday, December 31st, 1951, at
10 o'clock A. M.
One & -wheel Motorcycle for the Police Department, on Monday,, the 31st
day of December, 1951, at 10 o'clock A. M.
One Aerial Ladder and service body fora z ton truck for the
Electrical Department, on Monday the 7th day of January 1952 at 10
o'clock A. M.
