The City Commission met in regullr session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter
and Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 3rd 1951, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for receiving bids on
the construction of a bridge at the intersection of 24th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue,
over the P.P. & L,. Co. .Canal, the following were received, Edmiston and Son $3,250.00
and Daniel Ti Gallaghet..$550.00. The bid of Daniel T. Gallagher was accepted, and the
Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City for
doing said work: carried, Huey, Burns.'and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter that the Chamber of Commerce having presented
and ordinance pertaining to the "Little Cherry Disease" and appointed Homer S
Chairman of the Agricultural Committee..of. said Chamber, to appear and present said
ordinance to the City Commission, and inasmuch as Mr. Splawn did not ap pear before
said.Commission, it is ordered that said ordinance'be laid on the table for further
consieratioin: ca.rried,.Carpenter, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.,.
Moved by. Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1332 fixing the time llof
delinquency and prescribing the form of bond in Li.I.D. No. 698, be passed as read:
carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey.voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B- 133`2, fixing the 'time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No.
698, and .p" oviding for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of
the unpaid portion thereof.
ORDINANCE N0. B -1333, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assellssments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District
No. 720, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment
of the unpaid portion thereof,
Moved by'Huey, seconded.by Carpenter, that Ordinance No. B- 1333:fixing the time of
delinquency and It' escribing the form of Bond in L..I.D. No. 720, be passed as read:

ORDINANCE NO. B -1334, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District
No. 721, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment
of the unpaid portion thereof*
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance' No. B -1334, fixing the time of
delinquency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 721, be passed as read:
carried, Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO_. B -1335, re- zoning Lots 15 and 16, B lock 133, Original Townsite of Yakima,
Washington, -from "C" Residence District to Limited'Business District; and re- zoning
Lot 1 of Block 105, Original Townsite of Yakima, Washington, from "B" Residence
District to- Limited Business District; and from Second Area District to Fourth Area
District.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinal ce No. B-1335, re- zoning lots '15 and 16
Block 133, from "C" Residenct District to Limited Business District; and from Second
Area District to Fourth.Area District: carried, Carpenter, Huey and Burns voting aye
on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -9952 BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system.to
serve the following described property, situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County,
Washington,'to -wit
Beginning at the intersection of South Grandview Avenue and Nob
Hill Boulevard;,thence westerly along Nob Hill Boulevard to the
southwest corner of Rose Park; thence northerly alongl,the West
line of Rose Park to the northwest corner of'the'Southeast
( luarter of the NortYieast Quarter of Section 27, Township 13
North, Range 18, E.W.M..- thence easterly along the north line of
said subdivision to South Grandview Avenue, thence southerly along
South Grandview Avenue to the point of beginning;
said improvement to consist of the installation of necessary mains, laterals, service
connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water forlirrigation
purposes to each lot within the proposed district described above; and to be constructed)
in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the Clity Engineer
and filed with the City Clerk.
Ail persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hal 1' in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington,'at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 31st day of December,
1951;, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of
payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give Idue notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed
against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by
law and as above d6scribed; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the

City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data
ana other . informat ion required . by- la.w to be by him submitted.
