The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, October 22nd, 1951, were:approved as read.. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that Suz.zan Hunt be appointed to the position of Deputy City Clerk to'succeed Edna Busch, 'resigned;.said appointment to take effect November `lst, 1951,, and to continue during the pleasure of the City Commission: carried Huey, Burns and Carpenter voting aye 'on roll call. M -owed by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed .to`give notice to contractors for the construction of curbs and gutters ,in L.I.D. Nos. 728 and 729, respectively, for Tuesday, November 13th 1951,! at 10 :00' o► clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for the 1:e aring on the assessment roll'in L.I.D. No. 720, and there being no objections in writing or other- wise to said assessment roll; or any part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1311 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passes as read :: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANtCE NO. B -13119 confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 720 as created and established by Ordinance No. B- 1242:or the Ordinances of-'the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll. in L.I.D. No. 721, and there being no objections in writing, or .oth.er- wise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. -1312 confirming said assessment roll, or any part thereof, be passed as read .carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- .1312, confirming the assessment roll covering Local I'mprovement District No. 721 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1244 of the Ordinances, of . the kCity of Yak ima. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1313 fixing time of delinquency and prescribing form of bond be passed as read: carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on; roll call. ORDINANCE NO B -1313, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 680, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the pay- ment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1314 fixing time of delinquency and prescribing form of bond, be passed as read :, carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE"NO. B -1315, amending sub - section 7 of Section 11 of Ordinance No. A -236 of the City of Yakima, entitled: "'AN ORDINANCE for the preservation of the public peace, safety, morality and good order_ in the -City of Yakima; defining who are disorderly persons and vagrants; providing penalties for the violation thereof; repealing ordinances numbered 9, 11, 13, 18, 25, 49, 86,, 163, 172, 174; 182, 193, 213, 214, 215, 216, 219, 223, 227, 241,. 271, 286, 295, 433,, 498, 521, 618., 634,. 652, 720, 730, 841, 8570 A -19,.. A -29, A -31., A. -52,. A "73, A -97 and A, -134, and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency."; and amendments thereto, by adding.to said sub- section 7 of Section 1 a new subdivision, to b-e numbered 11S)ub- Section 7(b) "r, and declaring an emergency. B -1317, amending Section 13 of Ordinance No. "8 -239, entitled: 'SAN ORDINANCE relating to health and sanitation;'-providing for and regulating the collection and disposal of garbage, refuse and dead animals in the City of Yakima; regulating the operation of the City Dump and the City Incinerator ;, providing penalties for the violation hereof; repealing Ordinance No. A -619 and Section 103 of Ordinance No. A -205,. and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. "; and declaring an emergency. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, October 30th, 1951," at 10 :`OC1 o'clock A. This being the time for the hearing on the adjourned meeting of Tuesday, October 16th, 1951, relative to the re- zoning of property at 16th and Summitview Avenue; it is ordered that Ordinance Noo B =1318 be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting, aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1318, re- zoning the East 171 feet of the W, st 301 feet of the South 116.5 feet of the North 146.5 feet of the Northwest Quarter 'of t°he Southwest Quarter of Section 24, Township.13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.,; from "C" Residence District to Limited Business District. - Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn: carried Burns;, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
