The minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 4, 1951, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by 'Carpenter, that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the Broadway Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. 704, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted,"and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assess- ment roll for said district and the 'City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, the 1st day of October, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Lngineer having reported the completion of the Fifth and Sixth Avenue Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. 710, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, October 1st, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by�Carpenter, that the City Engineer having reported th com- pletion of the Rose Park Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. 716, by the' contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City 'Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, October lst, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the Maclaren Street Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. 718, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the 'City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, October 1st,_ 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. iwioved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to contractors to construct a sewer system in L.I.D. 725; said bids to be received on Monday, September 24th, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the claim of Ada B. Remleu, in the sum of $552.95 for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of falling in front of premises at 916 South 25th Avenue in the City of Yakima, is hereby rejected: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission that the following portion of the Uplands be zoned as follows: Lots 2 to 17 Inc., Block 22, be placed,in Limited Business -District; Lots 1 to 18, 19 and 20, Block 22, and all of Blocks 23, 24 and 25 be placed in "B" Residence District, and the balance of the area be placed in "A" Residence District, and that a.hearing be had at which property owners shall be notified relative to the above action for Monday, September 17, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M., be accepted: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolut- ion No. C -987, providing for the construction of a domestic water system, beginning at the intersection of 34th Avenue South with Tieton Drive; thence westerly along Tieton Drive to the west line of.South Glenn Drive Tracts; thence northerly along said west line to West Walnut Street; thence easterly along West Walnut Street to 34th Avenue South; thence southerly along 34th Avenue South to point,of beginning, be postponed for one week: carried Burns,'Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved.by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolut- ion No. C -988, providing for the construction of a domestic water system on which is known as the. "33rd Avenue Water System "; -It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1291 creating Local Improvement District No. 726 be passed as read: carried Burns, Huey and ,Carpenter voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1291, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund.
