The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July .9, 1951, were approved as read: Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. °C -984 be adopted as read: carried Burns,-Carpenter and Huey.voting aye on roll,call. RESOLUTION NO. C -984, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE (CITY COMMISSION OF THE .CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is , its intention to improve the alley between 18th Avenue South and 19th Avenue South, from Bell Street to Graham Street; the alley in Block -6, Modern Addition; the alley in-Block 3, Highland Addition, and a portion of the alley in Block 291, Capitol Addition; by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete on a gravel base; all of said improvements to be ,constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City .Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvements is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 6 to 23, Buena Vista (unrecorded); Lots 1 to 20, Block 6, Modern Addition; Lots 1 to 16, Block 3, Highland Addition; and Lots 4 to 8, Block 291, Capitol Addition. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection.. if any, at a meeting of the City Commission.to be held at its office in -the City Hall in the City of- Yakima, Yakima 'County , Washington, at the. hour of 10 of clock A.M., on Monday, the 6th day of August, 1951; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re- lating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto,' --and for determining the method of payment for -said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against ,all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City .Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said -hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. Frost for a change from "B" Residence to Limited Business District on the west 80 feet of Lots 9 and 10, Block -167, Grafton's Addition, be set for hearing-on the 17th day of July; 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday,. July 17, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M. : - carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on, roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, JULY 17, 1951 The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns • and -Commissioner Huey present on roll call. Carpenter absent. This being the time for the hearing on the petition of G. E. "Frost and others for changing• the west 80 feet of Lots 9 and 10, Block 167, Graftonf s Addition, from "B" residence district to Limited Business district: It was moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that said petition be granted:. carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.
