The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 2, 1951, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for the improvement of 5th Aven-de.South from Lenox to Viola and Logan from 7th Avenue South to 10th Avenue South by constructing curbs and gutters, L.I.D. No. 721, the following were received: Joe Brandt, $11,806.05; D. T. Gallagher, $10,450.69; J. M. DeBlasio, $11,222.05. The bid of D. T. Gallagher was accepted as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for the improvement of South Fourth Street from Adams Avenue to Pacific Avenue; South Naches Avenue, South Sixth.Street and South Seventh Street from Pacific Avenue to East Wash- ington Street, L.I.D. No. 722, the following were received: Joe .Brandt, $23,156.40; D. T. Gallagher, $17,507.47, and J. M. DeBlasio, $23,625.50. The 'bid of D. T. Gallagher being the lowest and best bid, said contract was awarded to him, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a, contract on behalf of the .City of Yakima for doing said work carried Burns and.Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the application of D.-T. Gallagher for an exten- sion of time.for completing the contract for curbs and gutters in L.I.D. 7209 from July 15th to August 10th, 1951, for the reason that the Johnson pipe Line delayed the work by lowering service connections and, also, two blocks on Hamm Avenue were added to the district: from July 15th, 1951 to August 10th, 1951, is hereby granted: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. . Moved by Huey; seconded by Burns, that upon the recommendation of the City Planning (Commission the petition of G. E. Frost for permission to change the west 80 feet of Lots 9 and 10, Block 167, Grafton ►s Addition, from "B" Residence District to Limited Business District be set for hearing on Tuesday, July 17, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the complet- ion of the construction of the Mead Avenue Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 680, said im- provement is hereby accepted, and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assess- ment roll for said district, and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Tuesday, September 4,-1951 at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. Moved by Huey, . seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 696, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on 'Cornell Avenue, etc., and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. A -1263, confirming said,assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO.. B -1263, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 696 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1152 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by 3urns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 703, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on 30th Avenue South, etc., and there being no objections ,in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It.is. ordered that Ordinance No. B -1264, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE N04 B -1264, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 703 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1160 of the Ordinances of the City of .Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 705, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on West.Walnut Street, etc., and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1265, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: ca_°ried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1265, confirming.the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 705 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1170 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 713, providing for the construction of a sewer system in Block No. 46, and ther.e.being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1266 confirming said assessment and every part thereof be passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1266, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 713 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1220 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima.
