The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 4, 1951, and adjourned meeting there- of were approved as read. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No.'-C -973, ,providing for the construction of. curbs and gutters on 15th Avenue South and other streets in the City of Yakima, and there being insuffic_i.ent protest on the part of property owners in said district against said improvement:.or* any part there- of: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1254, creating L.I.D. No.. 723, be passed as read: carried Burns, {Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.. ORDINANCE NO. B- 1254,'providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curb and gutters; establishing'a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. RESOLUTION NO. (C -982, WHEREAS, R:. A. DE.COTO is the lessee of the portion of the YAKIMA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT premises, the term for which lease has not yet expired; and WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the City and the lessee to enter into a new lease for a period expiring February 29, 1956, with an option for an additional period of two years; now, therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKI MA : That the Mayor and -City 'Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Yakima, a lease with R. A. De Coto, for a certain portion of the Yakima Municipal Airport premises, the description thereof being more specifically set out in said lease; for a period commenc- ing with the date hereof, and ending the 29th day of February, 1956, with an option for renewal for an additional period of two years;"according to the terms and conditions of the lease to which this resolution is attached. Moved by Huey, seconded by, Carpenter, that the 'City Engineer, having reported the completion of the �Cornel"l Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. No. 690, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby-accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll . for Monday, July 9, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Engineer, having reported the com- pletion of the 30th Avenue South Curb and *utter District, L.I.D. No. 703, by the con- tractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to pre- pare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday,'July 9, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the completion of the West Walnut Street Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. No. 705, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hear- ing on said roll for Monday, July 9, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.; carried-Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the completion of the sewer in Block 46, L.I.D. No. 713, by the contractor, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said dis- trict and the 'City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, July 9, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.-, carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey, voting aye on roll call. Moved by Burns that we notify the Association of Washington Cities that we wish to're- main a member of the Association and a check for our dues be mailed them by July 1, 1951. Motion 'lost for the want of a second. Moved by .,Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
