The City ;Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 28, 1951, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that thi.s being the time for receiving bids for
street equipment and other equipment at-the City Garage, and the bid of Neil K1eyn,
R. D. No. 1, Zillah, Washington, for the complete equipment- being. considered too low,
said bid was rejected. The bid of Centr..al. Propane Gas Company-for one used 100 gallon.
Propane tank for $30.00 to be taken out. in material for said tank --_was-- ac.cepted:-.by
Commissioners Carpenter and Huey.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carp,enter., that-the City Engineer, having reported the com-
pletion by the contractor of the 6th A venue.6outh and 15th Avenue South curb and gutter
district, L.L.D. No. 706, said improvement i.s hereby accepted, and the (City Engineer
instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City 'Clerk to give
notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, June 25, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried
Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of paving South 27th Avenue,, L.I.D. 699, said improvement is hereby accepted and the
City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City
(Clerk instructed to give notice of said hearing.on Monday, June 25, 1951, at 10 o'clock
A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the .City Engineer having reported the com-
pletion of the improvement of constructing a sewer system on Lincoln Heights, L.ID.
No-714, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to :prepare
an assessment roll for said district, and'the City Clerk to give notice of hearing on
said roll for Monday, the 25th day of June; 1951, at 10 O'clock A.M.: carried Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the completion
of the 27th Avenue North curb and gutter district, L.I.D. No. '701, by the contractor,
said improvement is hereby accepted and the 'City Engineer instructed to prepare an
assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of
hearing on said roll for Monday, the 25th day of June, 1951, at 10 o' clock A.M.°::
carried Burns, !Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that the report of the Investment Committee of
investments purchased during the month of May 1951, is hereby approved as follows:

ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY•, JUNE 7, 1951
The City Commission met pursuant to'adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huey
and Carpenter present on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1253 fixing the time for City
offices to remain open be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye
on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1253, fixing the office hours of certain 'City offices, and repealing
Ordinance No. B -198, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time the offices of the City
officers of the City of Yakima will remain open for the transaction of public business.
and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that we do now adjourn: carried Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
