The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioner Huey present on
roll call. Commissioner,'Carpenter absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 9, 1951, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the continued hearing on
Resolution No. C-692, and it appearing that the assessed valuation of the property does
not exceed the estimated benefits of said proposed improvement: It is ordered that
said project be abandoned. Motion carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Commissioner Carpenter absent.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the postponed hearing on
Resolution No. C -963, providing for paving certain alleys in the City of Yakima, and a
petition being filed by property owners abutting upon the alley between Hall Avenue
and Chicago Avenue, extending from West Yakima Avenue to West "A" Street, having been
heretofore.filed; It is ordered that said alley above described be eliminated from the
district and'that Ordinance No. B -1239 creating a Local Improvement District, No. 719,
be passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Commissioner
Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE N0. B -1239, providing for the improvement of the alley in Block 272, Ke.rs
Addition in the City of Yakima, Washington, by grading and paving with Portland cement
concrete; and also for the improvement of the alley in Block 1, Pioneer Addition; the
alley in Block 93, Yakima and a portion of the alleys between Chicago Avenue and 15th
Avenue North extending from West Yakima Avenue to West "A" Street, by grading and paving
with asphaltic concrete on a gravel base; establishing a Local Improvement District,
providing-for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1240, authorizing the sale of
the North thirty feet of the South Half of the South Half of the .Northeast Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., Yakima County,
Washington; to Yakima County for road purposes, be passed as read: carried Burns and
Huey voting aye on roll call. Commissioner Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -12401 authorizing the sale of the forth 30 feet of the South Half of
the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 35, Township
13 North., Range 18, E.W.K., Yakima County, Washington; to 'County of Yakima, State of
Washington, a municipal corporation.
it'joved -by Burns,-seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1241, fixing the time of delin-
quency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 664, be passed as read: carried
Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Commissioner Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -12411 fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local .Improvement District
No. '664, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment
of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn:
