The minutes of the .regular meeting of Monday, March 20, 1951, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded b�T Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -958, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters in Rose Park Addition and -there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1232, creating L.I.D. No. 716, be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1232, providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete cures and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor; and creating a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City 'Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice by publication, as required by law, for the construction of curbs and gutters in L.I.D. No. 716; said bids to be received on Monday, April 9, 1951, at 10 olclock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1233, amending Section 71 (a) of Ordinance No. B -131, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incid- ents upon the °streets and-other ways open to the public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses, providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency; "; as amended by Ordinances No. B -956, B -1068, and B -1186; and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1233 be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION N0. 'C -967, WHEREAS, Article 8 of Ordinance No. B -131, passed by the City Commission of the City of Yakima on 'the 26th day of February, 1936, and amendments thereto; provides among other things that the City Commission shall, by resolution, designate the locations for parallel parking and set aside non - parking zones, as they in their discretion may deem necessary; and shall cause the same to be marked with appro- priate signs or markers; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of public safety to designate parallel parking locations, and to set aside additional non - parking zones in the City of Yakima; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED B_-' THE 'CITY COD,111ISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIPlIA.: That the South side of West Walnut Street, between South Third Avenue and South Fourth Avenue, is hereby designated a location for parallel parking. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the ..City Commission of the City of Yakima, that the South side of East B Street, between Aorth Second Street and North Third Street, from the West alley line West a distance of 55 feet, is hereby set aside as a non- parking zone; except for City owned or used automobiles. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, that the East side of North Second Street, from the North line of the alley between East A and East-B Street, for a distance of 70 feet North, is hereby set aside as a non- parking zone; except for City owned or used automobiles.
