The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and .Commissioner Huey present
on roll call. Carpenter absent.
Th.e minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, February 13th, 1951, were approved as
read.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that the City 1%lerk is hereby instructed to call for
bids for constructing a sewer system in L.I.U. No. 713; said bids to be received on
Monday the ,5th day of March, 1951,.. at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns and Huey voting
aye on roll call. _Carpenter absent.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed tocall for
bids for constructing a sewer.system in L.I.D. No. 714; said bids to be received on
Monday, March 5th, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll
call. Carpenter absent.
loved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that this being the time for receiving bids for the
City printing for the ensuing year; the bid of the Republic Publishing Company, being
the only bid received, in the sum of 85 cents per printer's inch was accepted: carried
Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent.
i4oved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. 0-951, providing for a sewer system on Lots 1 to 8 inclusive, of Block 46, and there
being insuffifient protest of property owners in said district; It is ordered that
Ordinance No. B -1220, creating L.I.D. No. 713, be passed as read: carried Burns and
Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1220, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima,
Washington, by the construction of a sewer; establishing a Local Improvement District,
providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. C -952., providing for a sewer system in Lincoln Heights Addition, and there being no
objection on the part of property owners in said district; It is ordered that Ordinance
No. B -1221, creating L.I.D. No. 714 be passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting
aye on roll call. Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1221, providing for the improvement of.property in the City of Yakima,
Washington, by the construction of a sewer; establishing a Local Improvement District;
providing for the method of payment therefor; and creating a special fund.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1222, amending Ordinance.No.
B -1215, providing for the non - exclusive franchise for Intervalley Motor Coach Company,
was passed as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1222, amending Section 10 of Ordinance No. B -1215, entitled: "AN ORDIN"
AD10E granting a non - exclusive franchse to CARL A FAIN and WALTER S. PHILIPP, a co-
partnership doing business under the name of INTERVALLEY MOTOR COACH COMPANY, to operate
motor, vehicles commonly known as "motor coaches ", on certain public streets in the City
of Yakima; and to receive and discharge passengers at certain-points on said public
streets. "; and declaring an emergency.
