The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 5, 1951, and adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk give notice to contractors as provided by law for constructing an irrigation system in L.I.D. No. 712; said 'bids to be received on Monday, February 26, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. INloved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk give notice to bidders for one 3/4 ton pick -up truck; one 1 -1/2 ton truck without bed and one 1 -1/2 ton truck with steel gravel bed ( 2 c.y. capacity ) and hydraulic hoist for the City Water Depart- ment; said bids to be received on Monday, the 12th day of March 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids on irrigation pipe, the bid of H. D. Fowler Company, in the sum of 15,942.65, was accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Carpenter, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that this being the time for receiving bids on road oil, the Shell Oil Company was awarded bid on TVIC -2 @ $24.00 per'ton F.O.B. Seattle; MC -3 @ $23.50 per ton; RC -4 Q $24.50 per ton, and Shell Y -92 Colas @ .105 per gallon: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 'C -956, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH.: -That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of 35th Avenue Drive; thence Westerly along Tieton Drive to South Glenn Drive Tracts; thence Northerly a to West Walnut Street; thence Easterly along to 35th Avenue South; thence Southerly along to the point of beginning. South. and Tieton the West line of Long said West line West Walnut Street 35th Avenue 6outh Said improvement to consist of the installation of necessary mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation -purposes to each lot within the proposed district described above and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City 'Commission to be held at its office in the -City Hall in the 'City of Yakima,'Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 5th day of March, 1951; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No.-C-949, providing for the construction of an irrigation system on Jefferson Avenue and other streets in the City of Yakima, and there being insufficient protest to said improvement, or any part thereof: It is.ordered that Ordinance No. B -1218 be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0. B -1218, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by constructing an irrigation system to serve various lots "and tracts of land; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. Moved by huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 689, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1219 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -12191 confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 689 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1119 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima.
