The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 29, 1951, and adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to bidders for the construction of pipe sewers in the Nob Hill Boulevard District L.I.D. No. 686; said bids to be received on Monday., February 26, 1951 at 10 :00 o'clock A.M: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the com- pletion of the contract for constructing a domestic water system in L.I.D. No. 708, said report is hereby approved and.the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assess- ment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of .hearing on said roll. by publication, as required by law, for Monday, February 26, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that Resolution No. `C -954 be adopted as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -954, WHEREAS, by ordinance, it is provided that on the first Monday of February of each year, the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, shall pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission that the form of contract for the city printing for the ensuing year shall be in substantially the form hereto attached and made a part hereof, and the city clerk is hereby directed to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city advertising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city printing and advertising for two consecutive issues, which notice shall contain a general statement _;,of the terms of the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened, and providing that any and all bids may be rejected. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. C -955, authorizing the execution of a sewer pipe crossing permit with the Northern Pacific Railway Co. be adopted as read: carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Carpenter absent. 1 1 1 I- 1 February 5, 1951 RESOLUTION NO. `C -955, authorizing the execution of sewer pipe line crossing permit; and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is engaged in the construction of a trunk sewer line along Ahtanum Road, in Yakima County, Washington; and it is necessary to obtain a- permit from the " orthern Pacific Railway Company, in order to construct said sewer line over and across the right of way of the northern Pacific Railway -Company, and beneath the tracks of said Railway Company; and an emergency exists for said construction; NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the 'City of Yakima shall execute a permit with the Northern Pacific Railway Coinpany, known as Permit #73207; which authorizes the City of Yakima to construct its trunk sewer line over and across the Railway Company's right of way, and beneath its tracks, where the same crosses Ahtanum Road. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency exists; in that said trunk sewer line of the City of Yakima has been constructed up to the right of way of the Northern Pacific Railway Company; and the work cannot be completed until said permit is executed. Therefore, said permit shall be executed by the proper officials of the !City of Yakima, f orthwi th. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, this 9th day of February, 1951.
