B -12089 amending Section 3801 (5) of Ordinance No. B -1014, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of buildings and /or structures in the City of Yakima; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; declaring and establishing fire districts.; providing penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances and /or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith." B -1209, amending.Section 1 (a) of Ordinance No. B -1186, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 71 (a) and (d) and 71 -a and 71 -b of Ordinance No. B -131, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incidents.upon the streets and other ways open to the public; prescribing the p'oviers and duties of 'officer's and others in relation thereto; defining offenses, pro- viding penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating to the subj "ect matter of this ordinance, and.declaring an emergency "; as amended by Ordinances No: B -571, B -726, B -956, and B -1068, and declaring an emergency. "; and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1209, amending the traffic code_, be.'passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -948, WHEREAS, Article 8 of Ordinance 'No. B -131, passed by the (City Commission of the City of Yakima on the 26th day of February, 1936, and amendments .thereto, provides among other things that the City Commission shall, by resolution, designate locations for parallel parking, as they in their discretion may deem necess- ary; and shall.cause the same to be marked with appropriate signs or markers;-and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of public safety, tb de"bignate parallel parking locations in the City of Yakima; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIT. COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the South side of West "B" Street, from North First Avenue East to the. Aorthern Pacific Railway tiompanyl s right -of -way, is hereby designated a ,;location for parallel parking. ADOPTED BY THE CITY (COMMISSION this 2nd day. of January, 1951.
