The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 20, 1948, were approved as read. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck.that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -807 to improve West Yakima Avenue between No. 12th Ave. and Hall Avenue by removing curb and gutters,- widening pavement 6 feet and constructing a storm sewer on the North side of West Yakima Avenue and there being objections thereto by property owners: It is ordered that action in said matter be postponed Indefinitelys carried Buck, Bishop and ,Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop.that the City Engineer having filed the assessment rolls in Local Improvement Districts Nos. 608, 625, 626 and 628, all being for the construction of Domestic Water, said rolls are hereby accepted and the City Clerk in- structed to give notice of hearing on said rolls for Monday, the 17th day of January, 1949, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -959, authorizing the expenditure of funds not budgeted to defray the additional expense incurred in:the special election in November, 1948, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -959 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn to meet tomorrow, Tuesday, December 28, 1948, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED _MEETING, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1948 The City 'Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Buck and - Commissioners Bishop and 'Clark present on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for Gas, Oil, Grease, etc., for the year 1949, bids from the Standard Oil Co., Union Oil (Co., Tidewater Ass'd Oil Co., True Oil Co., Shell Oil Co., and Time Oil Co., were received and tabulated by the Finance Commissioner. The bid of the Tidewater Associated Oil Co. was accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the payrolls for the month of December, 1948, be allowed and the City Clerk instructed to issue warrants on-the following departments: Various Depts. $6,471.93; Engineering $2865.00; Police Dept. $12,740.63: F.R. &: P. $2122.30; P.R. & F. $310.00; Irrigation $990.00; Fire $13,465.00; Cemetery $230.00; Street $404.50; Library $2,298.35 and Water $7,326.86: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll. call.
