December 20, 1948
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 13, 1948, be approved as read.
Moved by Bishop, seconded ,by Buck that the following claims be allowed and the 'City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: C.E. $8,669.22; Street
$1921.00; 'Cemetery $25.04; Irrigation $265.42 and Water $18,416.99: carried Buck,
Bishop and Clark voting aye on ro"l"l call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for receiving bids on
crushed rock, gravel; etc. and -all bids received being rejected: It is ordered that
the City Clerk be instructed to readvertise said bids to be received on Monday, January
10th, 1949, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the ordinance authorizing the expenditure of
funds not budgeted to defray additional expense in the sum of $545.33, incurred in the
special election on November 2, 1948, and declaring an emergency be laid on the table
for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -811, BE IT RESOLVED by the C.it-y of:;Yakima; a municipal,corporation
of the State of Washington, that the act of the Mayor and Clerk of the said City of
Yakima in signing an agreement in writing dated December 20, 1948, ;between Oregon -Wash-
ington Railroad and Navigation Company and Union Pacific Railroad.Company, corporations,
collectively, and the said City of Yakima, under the terms of which said City is given
the right, subject to the terms of said agreement, to construct, maintain and use a
sewer pipe line, as described, and in the location indicated, in said agreement, beneatf
the track and across the right of way of said Companies in the said City of-Yakima,
shall be and the same is hereby authorized by, and said agreement is adopted as the
agreement and undertaking of, said City of Yakima, Washington.
Passed by the Council of said City of Yakima, Washington, this
20th day of December, 1948.

Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Resolution No. C -811 be adopted as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -957, rezoning Lots 5, 6 and 7, Larson's Home Sites and also the prop-
erty bounded on the North by East Yakima Avenue; on the East by Fair Avenue and on the
South by a line parallel with and one hundred feet (100) north of the north line of
Moxee Avenue.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -957 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -958, granting to the Northern Pacific Railway Company, a corporation
of the State of Wisconsin, and to its successors and assigns, the right, privilege
and authority to construct, maintain and operate a certain railroad track in the City
of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington*..'. -
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -958 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that-we do now adjourn: carried Buck, Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
