The minutes of the regular meeting 'of Monday, 1�ovember 1, 1948, were approved as read. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the improvement known as the "North Eighth Street Relief Sewer ", said work is hereby accepted: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by :Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Engineer having filed the Assessment Roll in L.I.D. No. 636, said roll is hereby accepted and the City Clerk instructed to give notice by publication, of hearing on same for Monday, the. 29th day of November at 10 :00 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by !Clark that the City Engineer having filed the Assessment Roll in L.I.D. No. 643, said roll is hereby accepted and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing by publication for Monday, November 29, 1948, at 10 :00 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION-NO. C -803, WHEREAS it is necessary to procure additional property within the City of Yakima for the expansion of the Fire Department and particularly for the purpose of building and establishing an additional fire station, and WHEREAS the following described property, to -wit: The South 90 feet of the North 115 feet of the East 115 feet of the West 635 feet of the Northwest quar- ter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quar- ter, Section 24, Township 13 North, Range 18. E.W.M. has been determined suitable for such purposes and the owners thereof, Charles D. Haynes and Norma Haynes, his wife, have offered to sell said premises to the City of Yakima for the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($1,700.00), and it appears that said sum is the fair and reasonable market value of said premises. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM14iIS.SION OF THE "CITY OF YAKIMA : That it is for the best interests of the City of Yakima to pur- chase from Charles D. Haynes and Norma Baynes, his wife, -the following described prem- ises situated in Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: The South 90 feet of the North 115 feet of the East 115 feet of the West 635 feet of the Northwest quar- ter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quar- ter, Section 24, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M. for the price of One Thousand Seven Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($1,700.00) and for the primary purpose of constructing thereon a new fire station for the Fire Department of the City of Yakima, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to issue a warrant upon the proper fund of the .City of Yakima in payment of the purchase price of said property.
