The minutes of the regular meeting, of Monday, October 4, 1948 and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that bids on a Calculator for the Water Department were received and the bid of McGinnis & Gillilan in the sum of $618.37 was accepted: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for a coupe for the Parking Meter Department, and there being no bids received, the Finance Commissioner was authorized to purchase one on the open market: carried Buck, Bishop and t lark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the alley paving in L.I.D. No. 647 by the contractor, said work is hereby accepted, and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll therefor: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark,voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -800, WHEREAS ROY A. NEILAN and RUTH M. NEILAN, husband and wife, heretofore executed and delivered to the City of Yakima a certain easement deed. granting to the City of Yakima a perpetual easement and right of way across the following des- cribed real estate situate in Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: The ?'Jest ten (10) feet of the East one hundred sixty (160) feet of Lots Eleven (11) to Twenty (20), Block One (1) of Seegertts Subdivision, an unrecorded plat in the Southwest Quarter (SW-1) of the Southwest !quarter (SWa) in Section 23, Townshop 13 Forth, Range 18 E.W.M., said deed being recorded in Volume 439 of Deeds, Auditorts file No. 1170321, Records of Yakima County Auditor, for the purpose of laying, operating and maintaining a water pipe and sewer along and over said property; and WHEREAS, since the date of said deed, the property above des- cribed has been replated and a more suitable utility strip dedicated in said plat than the property described above; and WHEREAS it is the intention of the City of Yakima to use said new utility strip in place of the property above described and it is for the beast interests of the City of Yakima to vacate and abandon the easement above described; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE CITY 'COMMISSION OF' THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That the easement across and upon the property herein described be and the same hereby is abandoned and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized, em- powered and directed to re- convey said easement by quitclaim deed unto the grantors, Roy A. No. 605, providing for the construction of a domestic: water system, and a petition of remonstrance being presented; It was ordered that said nearing be continued for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by 3Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the Assessment Roll in L.I.D. No. 629 and there being no objections in writing or other - wise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance confirming the assessment, be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -9'214, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Districi No. 629 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -796 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the Assessment Roll in L.I.D. No. 641, and there being no objections in writing or other- wise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance confirming said roll be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark: voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. 8 -925, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement; District No. 641 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -831 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -926 providing for the rezoning of certain property in the City of Yakima be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call. 0 1 7 L 1 1 1 1 October 11, 1948 ORDINANCE NO. B -926, rezoning the property lying within the following boundaries in the City of Yakima, Washington: Beginning on the South line of B Street at the corner of the alley between 4th Street and Naches Avenue, running thence Westerly along B Street to the alley between lst Street and 2nd Street; running thence Northerly along said alley to a point 100 feet North of the North line of D Street; running thence Easterly and parallel with D Street to the alley between 4th Street and Naches Avenue; thence Southerly along said alley to the point ,of beginning; and declaring an emergency Moved by Buck:, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. i ATTEST: _ C y C 1 e r /�' 13 Y 21.
