The City iCommissio:n met in regular session,- (Mayor Buck and Commissioner Bishop present
on roll call. Clark absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 7, 1948, were approved as read.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids on 200
lineal feet of 17" outside diameter steel casing, etc and the bid of the; American Pipe
and Construction Co., in the sum of $1,143.00 plus extra coating, being the only bid
received, said bid was awarded to it: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call.

Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for receiving; bids on.60
lineal feet of 72" inside diameter casing for the Water Dept., the bid of the American
Pipe and Construction Co., in the sum of $3,496.00 plus extra coating being the only
bid received, said bid was awarded to it: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll
call. Clark absent.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being.the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. C -795, providing for the grading, surfacing and construction of concrete curbs and
gutters and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or
any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -918 creating a local improvement
district be passed as read: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. (Clark
absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -918, providing for the improvement of certain property by the grading
and surfacing of same and by the construction of concrete curbs and gutters; establish-
ing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and
creating a special fund.
ORDINANCE NO. B -9195 fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvements in Local Improvement District
No. 616, and providing for the method of payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -919 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn:
