The City 'commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and (Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 30, 1948, were approved as read.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having reported the completion
--of resurfacing 11th Avenue, - L.I:D. No. 652, said work is hereby accepted and the City
Engineer authorized to-prepare an assessment roll for said district :� carried Buck,
,Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having filed the assessment
roll in L.I.D. No. 605, the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice of hearing
by publication on said roll for Monday, October 11, 1948, at 10 :00 o'clock A.M:, carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having filed the assessment
roll in L.I.D. No. 629, the 'City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice of hearing
by publication on said roll for Monday, October 11, 1948, at 10 :00 o'clock A.M: carried
Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer raving filed the assessment
roll in L.I.D. No. 641, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give notice of hearing
by publication for Monday, October 11, 1948, at 10 :00 o'clock A.Ms carried Buck,Bishop
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Monday, September 27, 1948, be fixed as the date
for the hearing on the petition of annexation for property beginning at 16th Avenue
South at Nob hill Boulevard and other property more particular described. in said
petition and the _ C:ity instructed to post and publish said notice as required by law:
carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following report of the Investment Committee
for investments purchased during the month of August, 1948, is hereby approved: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.

RESOLUTION NO. C -796, ANHEREAS the City Commission considers it to be for the best in-
terests of the City of Yakima to purchase the property hereinafter described for use
as a public street and.such other purposes as the City may desire, and
WHEREAS the owners of record of said property have offered to
sell the same to the City of Yakima for the sum of One Thousand and no/100 Dollars (
1,000.00) net to the sellers and it appearing that said price is the present fair and
reasonable market value of said property, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it purchase from Dean Barnhouse and Ruth Ellen Barnhouse,
husband and wife, the following described property situate in Yakima County, Washington,
to -wit:
The North Fifty Feet (50) and the West Ten
Feet (10) of Lot Twelve (12) of Fairchild
Acre Bracts according to the official plat

thereof recorded in Volume "A" of Plats,
Page 115, Records of Yakima- County,' Washington,
said purchase price to be for the price of One Thousand and no/100 Dollars (1,000.00)
net to the sellers and the City +Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant upon the proper fund of the City of Yakima to the order of said Dean Barnhouse
and wife in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) upon their executing and de-
livering to the City of Yakima a good and sufficient warranty deed to said premises.

of September, 1948.
