The 'City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and 'Commissioner Clark present
on roll call. Bishop absent. -
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 16, 1948, were approved as read,.
Moved by Buck, seconded by ,Clark that the following claims be allowed and the (City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $9,019.46; Street
$5,025.45; Library $522.03; Cemetery $151.07; L.I.D's $7,899.92; Irrigation $1,548.30
and Water $11,797.51: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for the
construction,of the Sums ,iitview - Pierce Avenue Sewer, the following were received.:
Gallagher and - Brandt $1448.95; E.G. Carroll $1534.60 and J. M. DeBlasio $1889.75. The
bid of Gallagher and Brandt was accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Buck and
Clark voting aye on roll.call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the improvement; in L.I.D. No. 639, providing for curbs and gutters, said work is
hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said
district: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the improvement; in L.I.D. No. 637, providing for curbs and gutters on 31st Avenue
North, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an
assessment roll for said district: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call.

ORDINAN {CE NO. B -906, amending Ordinance No. B -539 entitled "AN 01MINANCE establishing
fire zones within the City of Yakima, repealing Ordinance No. B -483, and declaring an
emergency."
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -906 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -907, rezoning Lot Nine ('9), Block Nine (9); Boulevard Addition to the
City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington._
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -907 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -908, relating to the moving of buildings and repealing all ordinances
and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -908 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -909, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District
No. 613, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment
of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -909 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -910, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvements in Local Improvement District
No. 623, and providing for the method of payment of the unpaid portion thereof..
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -910 be passed as read: carried
Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
