ThelCity commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
Thei�minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 12, 1948, be approved as read.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that the claim of C. E. Wells and (Caroline Wells,
his wife, for damages in the sum of $3,029.30 alleged to have been sustained by reason
of falling on the sidewalk in front of the (Commercial Hotel, is hereby denied: carried
BuclIc Bishop and Clark voting aye on-roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the hearing in the matter of the petition for
annexation of the section bounded on the south by Lincoln Avenue; on the west by
Grandview Avenue; on the north by Englewood and on the west by the present limits, is
hereby set for Monday, August 16, 1948', at 10 :00 11clock A,MS carried Buck, Bishop
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids on
coal, the bid of the Triangle Fuel Co. was accepted as the best bid: carried Buck,
Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -895, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Distric
No. 616, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -767 of the ordinances of the
!City of Yakima.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 616 providing for the construction of an irrigation
system in Central Park Addition and there being no objection to said roll or any part
thereof: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -895 confirming said assessment roll be
passed as read: carried Buck,'Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -896, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in local improvement district No.
598, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of
the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -896 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -897, fixing the'time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in local improvement district
No. 604, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment
of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -897 be passed as read: carried

Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -791 providing for the construction of a domestic water sys-tem•in the Ham
berg Tract and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement:
It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -898 creating a local improvement for said district
be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
O.RDINAN!CE NO. B -898, providing for the improvement of property in.the City of Yakima,
Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a local im-
provement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special
fund.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -792, for paving the alley in Block 170 Huson ►s Addition and there being .a
protest on the part of the property owners abutting upon said district: It is ordered
that action on said,_,be postponed until a later date: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -899, authorizing the purchase of equipment not budgeted and without
advertising for bids and declaring an emergency:
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -899 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -900, amending Ordinance No. B -689 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing
for the improvement of property in the +City of Yakima, Washington by the construction
of a domestic water system; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for
the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund."

ORDINANCE NO. B -901, amending Ordinance No. B -708 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing
for the improvement of property in the !City of Yakima, Washington by the construction
of a domestic water system; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for
the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund."
