SPECIAL MEETING, MONDAY,--JUNE 8, 1959, 2:'00 P.M.
Due notice having been given by the Clerk of the Council to the members of the City
Council, calling for a special meeting at the hour of 2:00 P.M. on Monday the 8th day
of June 1959, for the purpose of considering an ordinance establishing wages and hours
of employees of the City of Yal�ima; Mayor Bostic, Assistant Mayor Robinson, Jr.,
Councilmen Barber, Coombs, and Larson; were present on roll call. Councilmen Burns and
Oliver absent. City Manager Allison and City Attorney Arntson were also present.
An ordinance establishing basic salaries for employees of the Yakima Fire Department,
having been read by the Clerk and discussed by the Council and a group of firemen having
been heard, it was MOVED by Robinson, seconded by Barber that Ordinance No. 8 establish-
ing basic salaries for the employees of the Fire Department, be passed as read: carried
Bostic, Robinson, Barber, Coombs and Larson voting aye on roll call. Burns and Oliver
absent.
ORDINANCE NO. 81 AN ORDINANCE establishing basic salaries for emgbyees of the Yakima
Fire Department, repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith
And declaring an emergency:
This being the only business to be considered at this special meeting of the City
Council, said meeting was declared adjourned.
