City Attorney absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of December 29s.1958, were approved . as read. A petition having been filed by Gale E. Thompson and others praying for the annexation of certain property located between 18th Avenue and Wright Avenue and Fruitvale Boule- vard and Willow Street and a hearing now being held on said petition and there being', no protests in writing or otherwise to said annexation, it was MOVED by Mathews., second- ed by Schutt that Ordinance No. B-2237 providing for said annexation be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO..-B-2238., AN ORDINANCE amending Section (3) of Section 88 of Ordinance No. B-1526 entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic., travel and transpo - r- tation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the public; prescrib- ing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing penaltiess and repealing Ordinance No, B-131 and all other amendmens therefore and all other ordinahces in so far as they are in c6nflict therewith, and declaring an emergency".., as amended by Ordinance No. B-1546. C-1644, A RESOLUTION authbrizin*g the Mayor and 'City Clerk to enter into a lea�se agreement for certain parking areas at the Yakima Municipal Airport with Joseph L, O'Briens doing business as the Airport Parking Lot Company. WHEREAS, the revenues derived by the City from the parking areas at the Yakima Municipal Airport have been vary small, and WHEREAS, negotiations have been entered into with Joseph L. OtBrien, doing business as the Airport Parkirg, Lot Company, for the leaing of the parking areas to and said Joseph L. o'brieno doing busines* as the kirport Parking Lot Company, and WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City of Yakima to enter into such lease agreement, now, therefore.9 I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Tha ' t the Mayor and the City Clerk on behalf of the City of Yakima be and they hereby are authorized to enter into a lease agreement for certain parking areas'at the Yakima Muniq - ipal Airport with Joseph L. Statewide City Employees Retirement System advising that Oren D. Ray, a city employee, will reach compulsory retirement age of-65 by February 1, 1959 and it now being recom- mended by the Commissioner of Finance and Accounting and the Purchasing Agent that said employees retirement date be extended for one year.-it was MOVED by Schutt, seconded by Mathews that the employment of Mr. Oren D. Ray be extended for one year: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. No. 860 and there being no protests in writing .or otherwise to said assessment roll or any,.•part thereof, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2239 confirming this assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -22390 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local - Improvement District; No. 860 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -2104 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima.
