The minutes of the regular meeting of November 5, and adjourned meeting thereof were ap1r oved as read. In accordance wihh a call for bids for the purchase of parking meters and the following bids having been received and read H. W. Thomas 50 to 100 Manual 50 to 100 Automatic Mi -Co Parking Meters 50 to 100 Manual Karpark Corp. 50 to 100 Automatic M. H. Rhodes, Inc. 50 to 100 Manual Traffico Appliance Corp 50 to 100 Manual 50 to 100 Manual Alternate 50 to 100 Automatic 154.00, 58.00 $51.50 $49.64 $42.00 50.35 - 58.35 51.35 it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that said bids be referred to Commissioner Schutt and the Purchasing Agent for tabulation and recommendation: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. This being the time for the hearing on the Assessment Roll for L.I.D. No. 858, being the Revised Swan Tract & 29th Ave., Domestic Water System, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2216 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -22162 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 858 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -2082 of the Ordinances of the Dity of Yakima. Bids having been received November 5, 1958 for the purchase of 3 or more police cars and z aid'-_bids now being considered, it was ordered that they be set aside to be con- sidered again at an adjourned meeting on Monday, November 17, 1958 at the hour of 2 P.M. Bids having been received November 5, 1958 for the purchase of two trucks and one packer type body for the Garbage Department and the Purchasing Agent now recommending the bid of Bill Pierre Motors, of Seattle, Washington in the amount of $3,912.68 as the best bid on the trucks and the bid of Truck Welding and Equipment Company in the amount of $4,107.50 as the best bid for the packer type body, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said recommendation be accepted and the bids awarded accordingly: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews votimeg aye on roll call. Bids having been received on November 5, 1958 for the purchase of one pickup truck far the Street Department, said bids now being considered, it was ordered that they be set aside to be considered again at an adjourned meeting on Monday, November 17, 1958 at the hour of 2 p.m. An Ordinance appropriating $2,556.00 to the County Health District for services rendered the City by the Meat Inspector, having been read in its entirety at a regular meeting of the City Commission, October 22, 1958 and now being read by caption only, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2217 appropriating said funds be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -2217, AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds to the County Health District item of the 1958 Budget and declaring an emergency. An ordinance appropriating $23,000.00 to extend the apron and ramp at the Yakima Municipal Airport was read in its entirety by the City Clerk and ordered laid on the table for one week to be read and considered at the next regular meeting of the City Commission, on Wednesday the 19th;day:"6f November, 1958. An ordinance providing for the expendi -ture of $5,000.00 in the Airport Improvement Fund, said $5,000.00 being a part of the General Obligation Bonds in the amount of ,$35,000.00 provided for in Ordinance No. B -2101 and now being appropriated to complete the acquisition of the necessary easements and rights of way for the completion of the approach lighting system, was read in its entirety by the City Clerk and ordered laid on the table for one week, to be read and considered at the next regular meetim g of the City Commission on Wednesday the 19th day of November 1958. . Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that we 'do now adjourn to meet again at the hour of 2 p.m. on Monday the 17th day of November, 1958: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting ante on roll call.
