This being the time for receiving bids for the purchase of radio equipment for police cars and the bid of Motorola Communications in the amount of $3,935.00, being the only bid received, it was MOVED by Alderson seconded by Mathews that said bid be referred to the Chief of Police and Purchasing Agent for recommendation: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent. I WHEREAS, uniforms are immediately required by the Police Depart- ment for proper maintenance, and WHEREAS, an emergency is hereby declared to exist requiring immediate need for said uniforms at request of Police Department, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Thatthe Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized, without calling forbids, to purchase required uniforms for the City of Yakima Police Department. Section 2.
