OCTOBER 29, 1958
The City Commission met in regular session,Mayor Alderson, Commissioner Mathews and
City Attorney Arntson present on roll call. Schutt absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of October 2' -2, 1958 and adjourned meeting thereof,
were approved as read.
Bids having been receive -d October '22, 1.958 for the purchase of 1000 feet of 22 inch
Hose and 400 feet of 12 inch hose for the Fire Department and the Fire Chief together
with the Purchasing agent recommending the bid of Dodge Yakima Supply -Company,as the
best bid, it was MOVED by Alderson, seconded by Mathews that said recommendation be
accepted and this bid be awarded to'Dodge Yakima Supply Company: carried, Alderson,
and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent.
A Petition having been duly filed by F. E. Wills and others,praying for the annexation
of a ten acre tract west of North 16th Avenue and South Fruitvale Boulevard, and this
being the time for the hearing on said petition and there being no protests in writing
or otherwise t,o said annexation, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that
Ordinam e No. B -2214 annexing a ten acre tract West of North 16th Avenue and South
Fruitvale Boulevard and every part thereof as described in said ordinance, be passed
as read: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent.
ORDINANCE B- 22141 AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima,
Washington, of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Resolution No.'C -11627 transferring the sum
of $54.62 from - Current Expense L.I.D. Advances to L.I.D. No. 861, being the 24th Avenue
South Irrigation District, said amount covering a reduction in the assessments on
Lots 1 & 11 of Block 1, of B. F,. Young's Plat Unrecorded chargable.'.: to Charles M. Davis,
said adjustment having been ordered by the (City Commission at a regular meeting on
June 18, 1958, be passed as read: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call
Schutt absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -16272 A RESOLUTION transferring the sum of $54.62 from Current Expenses
L.I.D. Advance to L.I.D. No. 861.
WHEREAS, included within the assessment district of L.I.D. No.
861 there were two parcels, to -wit:
Lot 1, Block 1, B. F. Young's Plat Unrecorded, more particularly
described as the S. 144 feet, of the N. 1302.5 feet of the East
146.5 feet of the West 166.5 feet, EXC. Rwy RIW of the W29 SWJ
NE's Sec. 26- 13 -18, and
Part of Lot 11, Block.l, B.F.:You 's Plat Unrecorded, more
particularly described as the S. 1144 feet, of the N. 1302.5
feet of the E. 8.4 feet of the W. 250.5 feet, EXC. Rwu R/W, of
the W2,W2s SW4f NE4, Sec. 26- 13 -18, and
WHEREAS, both of said parcels were owned by Charles M. Davis,
and
WHEREAS, the assessment computations on said parcels included
therein a portion of railroad right -of -way, not under the control of the said Charles
M. Davis, and which should be excluded therefrom, and
WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City
Commission of the City of Yakima, on June 18, 1958, ordered a reduction to the said
!Charles M. Davis of the sum of $23.87 in the assessment of the above described Lot 1,
Block 1 of B.F. Young's Plat Unrecorded, and the further sum of $30.39 in the assessment
against that part of Lot 11, Block 1, of B. F.. Young's Plat, Unrecorded as above de-
scribed, and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to transfer the sum of $54.26
from the current expense fund L.I.D. Advances to the local improvement fund, L.I.D.
No. 861 to balance said reductions, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That there is hereby transferred the sum of $54.26 from the
current expense fujd, L.I.D. Advances to the local improvement fund, L.I.D. No. 861,
and the City Clerk of the City of Yakima be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to
issue a warrant in said amount drawn upon the current expense fund, L.I.D., Advance in
favor of local improvement fund, L.I.D. No. 861 and to deliver the same to the City
Treasurer of the City of Yakima.

ORDINANCE NO. B -22151 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in local Improvement
District No. 865, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid' portion thereof.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn to meet again in regular
session on Wednesday the 5th day of November, 1958 at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m.:
