No City Attorney present. The minutes of the regular meeting of July 2, 1958 were approved as read. This being the time.for receiving bids for the Nob Hill Sewer Project and the following bids having been received: N. L. Kimball, Yakima, Washington all 5 schedules 77,906.99 E. M. Gostovich, Sunr.yside,`Wash. Schedule #1 871,061.63 it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that said bids be referred to the City engineer for recommendation:, carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Resolution No. C -1599 fixing this date as the time for hearing on the petition praying for the vacation of twentieth Avenue South lying adjacent to Lot 11 of Chase Hill Residence Tracts and the City Clerk having read an ordinance providing for said vacation, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said matter receive further consideratim and be brought before the next regular meeting of the City Commission on July 16, 1958, This being the time fixed for hearing on the petition praying for the vacation of all of Martin Street, approximately 640 feet more or less in length, and there being no objec- tions in writing or otherwise, it was MOVED by Mathews,aseconded by Schutt that ordinanc( No. B -2184 providing for said vacation, be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO.. B -2184, AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of All of Martin Street (approximately 640 feet more or less in length) in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington; and declaring an emergency. An Ordinance creating the position of "Zoning Administrator - Building Inspector" and providing for the expenditure of x$3,000.00 for the payment of salary for said position, having been read in its entirety for the first time at the regular meeting of the City Commission on July 2, 1958, and this being the time for its second reading, it was ordered that said ordinance be set aside for consideration and passage at a later date. Bids having been received for the sale of city owned property in the form of Scrap Iron on July 2, 1958,. it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the recommendation of the Street Engineer be accepted and the bids be awarded as follows: Webb Tractor Co. ¢$85.00 for compressor 15.00 for pump Chicago Junk Co. $13.50 per ton for all other junk and that the Street Engineer be and is hereby instructed to advise the City Treasurer as to the distribution of monies received from said sale as said scrap iron is from Street operations and Water Department operations: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting, aye on roll call. Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Ordinance No. B -2185 fixing the time of de- linquency and prescribing the form of bonds for L.I.D. No. 857, being the Revised Swan Tract and 29 h Avenue Irrigation District,.be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 21815, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 857, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of t unpaid portion thereof. Commissioner Mathews requested that the City Clerk read a rough draft of an ordinance establishirn- an irrigation rate for use of domestic water, providing for rules, and fixing the use and price of such service. No action was taken on said ordinance by the City Commission.
