No City Attorney present. The minutes of the regular meeting of June 18, 1958 were approved as read. Moved by Mathews that Resolution No. C -1603 providing for the sale. of Tahoma Cemetery land to the Federal Government for a Naval Reserve Center and further providing that the money from said sale be used for an irrigation system.in• said Cemetery, be passed as read.. Mayor Alderson, seconded this motion providing said resolution is legal. Schutt not voting. RESOLUTION NO. C -16031 A RESOLUTION providing for the sale of Cemetery and and the allocation of the money for the improvement of the Cemetery.' WHEREAS, the �Iity of lakima purchased a ,piece of property for future expension of the Cemetery and WHEREAS, a portion of this property is not considered suitable for Cemetery purposes and WHEREAS, an agency of the Federal Government desires to purchase a portion of this property for a Naval Reserve Center and WHEREAS, the money realized from the sale of this land may be used to the advantage of the Cemetery in providing a more adequate Irrigation system, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA : That the City sell five acres of land to the United States Government and the looney received from the sale of the land be set aside for the con- struction of a new Irrigation system fort he Cemetery. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, this 25th day of June, 1958. ATTEST: NOT SIGNED NOT SIGNED C I T Y C L E R K M A Y 0 R T!-_e City Treasurer recommending the extension of employment for Floyd Taylor, now past compulsory retirement age of 65 as required by Statewide City Employees Retirement System, it was MOVED by Schutt seconded by Alderson that the employment of said employee be extended in accordance with Resolution No. C -1596: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn to meet in regular session at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday the 2nd day of July, 1958: carried, Alderson, Schutt -and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
