The City Commission met in regular session, Commissioners Schutt and Mathews/present on
roll call. Mayor Alderson absent.
The minutes of the meeting of December 26, 1957 and the adjourned meeting thereof were
approved as read.
This being the time for receiving,bids for the purchase of a Turbine Pump for the
Irrigation Department and the Commissioners not being satisfied with the number of bids
received, it was moved by Mathews and seconded by Schutt that all bids be rejected and
the City Clerk authorized to readvertise, said bids to be received January 15, 1957, at
the hour of 10:00 a.m., carried, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Alderson
absent.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2114 fixing the time of
delinquency and prescribing the form of bonds for L.I.D. No. 852 be passed as read:carrie
Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Alderson absent.
ORDINANCE No. B -2114, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 852, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
The Street Engineer requesting authorization to call for bids for traffic paint, salt,
crushed rock, trucks and sewer rodder, it was moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that
the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized to call for bids upon notice from said street
engineer: carried,,Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Alderson absent.
The City Engineer reporting work performed on city projects during the month of December
as follows:

City Clerk authorized to issue warrants in payment of same: carried, Schuee and Mathews
voting aye on roll call. Alderson absent.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the following report of the Investment Commit-
tee showing investments made during the month of December be accepted; carried, Schutt
and Mathews voting aye on roll,call. Alderson absent.

January, 1958, at the hour of 10:00 otclock a.m., carried, Schutt and Mathews voting aye
on roll call. Alderson absent.
Moved by Schutt and seconded by Mathews that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized
to call for bids for the purchase of one automobile for the City of Yakima Fire Depart-
ment, said bids to.,be.received and considered on the 22nd day of January, 1958, at the
hour of 10:00 A.M., carried, Schutt and,Mathews voting aye on-roll call. Alderson absent

session at the hour of 10:00 otclock A.M. on Wednesday the 8th day of January,.1958.
