The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews and Assistant City Attorney Carl Loy present on ro�l call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of November 27, 1957, were approved as read.
An Ordinance providing for a $35,000.00 bond issue was read in its entirety. After some
discussion, it was moved by Schutt and seconded by Alderson that Section 8 of said
Ordinance, being the emergency clause, be deleted; carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Schutt and seconded. by Alderson that Ordinance No. B =2101 providing for a
$35,000.00 airport bond - issue, be passed as corrected; carried, Alderson and Schutt
voting aye. Mathews voting nay.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2101. AN ORDINANCE providing for the borrowing of money in the sum of
$35,000.00 by the City of Yakima, and issuing its general negotiable serial interest -
bearing coupon bonds therefor for the purpose of paying for the remaining costs incurred
in enlarging and imp - roving the Yakima Municipal Airport and for acquiring the necessary
rights of way for the installation of an approach lighting system at said airport;
prescribing the form of said bonds; and creating a fund to redeem said bonds and interest.
The hearing on L.I.D. ##553, being the South Front Street, Petzel Avenue and Logan Avenue
Curb, Gutter and Paving District, having been continued since November 13, 1957, due to

concerning protests, it was moved by Schutt, seconded by Alderson that confirmation of
said district be taken under advisement; carried,. Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2102 authorizing; the transfer
of $7,000.00 from the Current Expense Fund to the Policeman's Relief and Pension Fund
within the 1957 Budget, be passed as read; carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2102. AN ORDINANCE authorizing the transfer of $7,000.00 from the
Current Expense Fund to the Policeman's Relief and Pension Fund within the 1957 Budget,
and declaring an eme=rgency.
An Ordinance providing for the expenditure of $3,000.00 in the 1957 Budget of the
Irrigation Department for Local Improvement District 552 was read in its entirety by
the City Clerk and being an emergency ordinance will be read again at the next regular
meeting on Wednesday, the 11th day of December, 1957, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m.
The City Engineer reporting for payment the following monthly estimates for work performe
on city projects dur=ing the month of November, 1957.

it was moved by Schutt and seconded by Alderson that the City Clerk be and is hereby
authorized to issue -the necessary warrants in payment of said estimates; carried,.Alderson,
Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
An Ordinance for the expenditure of $16,5o8.22 by the Water Department in payment of
services rendered by the Street Department having been read for the first time on
November 13, 1957, and set aside from week to week since its first reading and now having
been read again, it 'was moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said Ordinance ##B -2103
be passed as read; carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2103. AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not provided
for in the 1957 Budget for the payment by the Water Department to the Street Department
for certain services rendered during the year 1956; and declaring an emergency.
An Ordinance amending the 1957 Budget reducing and deleting certain items in the salary
category of the water department having been read for the first time November 13, 1957
and the City Clerk now reading said ordinance for the second time, it was moved by
Alderson, seconded by Schutt that said Ordinance be passed as read. Mathews voting nay.
This Ordinance being an emergency ordinance was lost due to the lack of an unanimous
vote.
