OCTOBER 30, 1957
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson, Commissioner Mathews and
Assistant City Attorney Carl Loy present on roll call. Commissioner Schutt absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of October 23, 1957 were approved,as read.
A letter setting forth recommendations of the Traffic Board for the parking of City Cars
in the vicinity of the City Hall,. having been read by the City Clerk, it was MOVED by
Mathews, seconded by Alderson that -said recommendations be accepted and the City Attorne:
be and is hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance setting forth said recommendations;
carried, Alderson and.Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent-.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Resolution No. C -1536 providing for the
transfer of $900.00 within the Street Department 1957 Budget, be passed as read: carriec

RESOLUTION NO. C -1536, A RESOLUTION providing for the transfer of funds within the 1957
appropriation of the Street Department.
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the Sidewalk Repair item of the
Street Department Appropriation in the 1957 Budget and
WHEREAS, a shortage exists in the Storm Sewer Equipment & Casting
Building Repair, Miscellaneous, Phone and Taxes and Fuel items in said Street Department
Appropriation, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interests of t
City to make the transfers provided for herein, and

WHEREAS, the action contemplated herein is authorized by R.C.W.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That $900.00 be and the same is hereby transferred
from the Sidewalk Repair item of the Street Department appropriation in the 1957 Budget
to the Storm Sewer Equipment & Castings:; Building Repair, Miscellaneous, Phone and Taxes
and Fuel items in the respective amounts of $300.00, $200.00, $250.00, and $150.00, all
of said items being within the "Maintenance and Operation" classification in said
appropriation, and the.-City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make the aforementioned
transfers as provided for herein.

transfer of 5.,911.20 from the Planning Commission Budget to the Engineering Budget for
1958, be passed as read: carried, Alderson. and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Schutt absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2093, AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of funds within the 1958
appropriation of the Current Expense Fund.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that the C:1.ty Clerk be and is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for the purchase of one dry process printing machine, f or_the•:`,City
Engineer, said bids to be received up to the.hour of 10 otclock a.m. on Wednesday the
13th-day of November, 1957: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Schutt absent.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn to' meet again in regular
session on Wednesday the 6th -day.of November, 1957, at the hour of 10 ol clock a.m::
