JULY 22, 1957
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson and Commissioner Schutt
present on roll call. Commissioner Mathews and City Attorney absent.
Minutes of the regular meeting of July 15, 1957, and adjourned meeting thereof were
approved as read.
Bids having been received for the purchase of Anti- freeze for the 1957 -58 season for the
City of Yakima, it was moved by Alderson, seconded by Schutt that said bid be awarded
to the Service Station Supply at $1.50 per gallon as recommended by the Street Engineer:
carried, Alderson and Schutt voting aye on roll call. Commissioner Mathews absent.
Moved by Schutt and seconded by Alderson that Resolution No. C -1493 providing for the
transfer of funds within the ,Irrigation Fund, that $750.00 be transferred from the
Fifth Avenue and "D" Street Pump House item to the New Structures,.Pumps & Pipe Lines
item all within the "Capital Outlay" classification of the Irrigation Department 1957
Budget, beipassed as read: carried, Alderson and Schutt voting aye on roll.call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1493. A RESOLUTION providing for the transfer of funds within the
Irrigation Fund.
WHEREAS,_Ordinance No. B -2011, passed by the City Commission on
April 1, 1957, provided for the expenditure of certain funds not to exceed $3,500.00
for the purchase of a Turbine Pump for the Pump House at Fifth Avenue and "D" Street
within the City of Yakima, for the purchase and installation of electrical controls in
said pump house, and for installing certain main irrigation lines in the vicinity of
said pump house, said items being within the "Capital Outlay" classification of the
Irrigation Fund; and
WHEREAS, a surplus.of funds exists in said appropriation, while
there is a need & additional funds in the New Structures, Pumps & Pipe Lines item within
the Irrigation Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interests of
the City to make such transfer within the Irrigation Fund; and
WHEREAS, the action contemplated herein is authorized by RCW
35.33.120, NOW,THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That $750.00 be, and the same is hereby, transferred from the.
Fifth Avenue and "D" Street-Pump House item to the New Structures, Pumps & Pipe Lines
item, all within the "Capital Outlay" Classification of the Irrigation Department 1957
Budget and within the Irrigation Fund, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to make the aforementioned transfer within said fund.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 22 day
of July, 1957.

SPECIAL MEETING, TUESDAY, JULY 23, 1957, 3:00 P.M.
The City Commission met in special session, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews present on roll call.
The press and newsmen were notified to attend this meeting.
Moved by Mathews and seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2054 rezoning certain
specific property situate in the City of Yakima, said ordinance giving legal description
of property in full, be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2054. AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the
City of Yakima, Washington; and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Schutt, seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn to meet again in regular
session on Monday, July 29, 1957, at the hour.of 10:00 o'clock A.M.
