The City Commission met in regular session, Commissioners Schutt and Mathews and Assist
Attorney Carl Loy present .on roll call. Mayor Alderson absent.
Minutes of the regular meeting of July 8, 1957, were read and approved.
This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1484 providing for the vacation
of the alley east of Lots 18 thru 24, Block 1, Broadway Park Addition No. 2 and there
being no objections in writing or otherwise to said vacation, or any part thereof;, it
was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2051 vacating said alley
be passed as read: carried, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Mayor Alderson
absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2051, AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of the alley east of Lots
18 thru 24, Block 1, Broadway Park Addition No. 2.
This being the time for hearing on assessment roll for L.I.D.8491 being the Knobel Avenue
Domestic Water District and there being no protests in writing or otherwise, it was moved
by Mathews and seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. 2052 confirming said assessment roll
and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2052. AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve
ment District No. 849 as created and established by Ordinance No. 1952 of the Ordinances
of the City of Yakima.
This being the time for hearing on assessment roll for L.I.D. 850, being the Tahoma
Avenue Domestic Water district and there being no protests in writing or otherwise, it
was MOVED by Mathews and seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2053 confirming said
assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read:. carried, Schutt and Mathews
voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2053. AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local
Improvement District No. 850 as created and established by Ordinance No. B- 1958 -A of the
Ordinances of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that we adjourn to meet again at the hour of 10:00
A.M. Wednesday, the 17th day of July, 1957.
ADJOURNED MEETING, WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 19579 10 OtCLOCK A.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt
and Mathews and Assistant City Attorney Carl Loy present on roll call.
This being-the-time for receiving bids for Anti - freeze for the winter of 1957 -1958,
the following bids were received:
Service Station Supply -- bid per gallon $1.80 one gallon. cans

Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that the bids be referred to the Garage Superint-
endent for-tabulation and recommendation: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
This being the time for receiving bids for L.I.D. No.854, being the street surfacing of
40th Avenue and Arlington Avenue and L.I.D. No. 855, being the Nob Hill sidewalk district,
the following bids were received:
Schadelman Bros. $ 105,390.00
Hans Skov Construction Company 1002019.50
Cherf Bros. Inc. 93,702.50
DeAtley Paving & Crushing, Inc. 87,454.00
DeBlasio Brothers 85,089.00
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that DeBlgsio Brothers be awarded the bid on the
projects known as L.I.D. Nos. 854 and 855: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews and seconded by Alderson that we adjourn to meet again on Monday
at the hour of 10:00 a.m. the 22nd day of July, 1957.
