This being the time for hearing on assessment roll for local improvement #843 being the First Avenue and Mead Domestic Water System and'one property owner questioning her assessments., it was moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the Ordinance confirming this district be tabled until the next regular meeting of the City Commission:. carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. This being the time for receiving bids for five new 1957 model cars for the Police Department, the following bids were submitted: ROSS LYNCH MOTOR COMPANY - ` "' Total price of five units without trade -in $12,492.20 Less trade -in on cars 2,950-00 9,542.2 WAGNER CHEVROLET COMPANY - Total price of five units 11,392.50 Less trade -ins 8,710-50 2 60 0 BURROWS MOTOR COMPANY Net Bid for five new fordor sedans 11,314.80 Less trade -ins 2,805-00 ,509. Moved by Alderson, seconded by Schutt that said bids be referred to the Police Chief for recommendation: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Bids having been received for visible pocket type index equipment for the Clerkts office and the City Clerk recommending that.said bids be rejected due to.excessive costs, it was moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the bid of Harris Office Equipment be and is hereby rejected: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Resolution No. C -1474 revising certain fees and.charges at Tahoma Cemetery be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye .on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1474. WHEREAS ",Resoolution Nos. C -769 and C -1312 and C -1420 were adopted by the City Commission o.n January 6, 194.$, November 28, 1955, and October 8, 1956, respectively, prescribing 'certain fees and charges for the operation of the Tahoma Cemetery; and .WHEREAS; it is now deemed necessary and advisable to revise said fees and charges; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That hereafter the rates and charges at Tahoma Cemetery shall be as follows: The rate shall be as prescribed in Resolution No. C -1420 adopted by the City Commission on the 8th day of October, 1956, except whenever a Disabled American Veteran is buried who is certified by the Disabled Veterans of America or such local committee as said Organization may designate to be without sufficient funds, then the charge shall be $60.00 for opening, closing, preparing the lot and furnishing a liner, to which said liner charge shall be added the Washington State sales tax. Except as herein expressly modified, all former rates and charges, rules and regulations applicable to said Tahoma Cemetery shall remain in full force and effect.
