The minutes of the regular meeting of April 29, 1957 were passed as eor.rected., This being the time for hearing on Resolution No. C -1466, an Ordinance creating a local improvement district was read and referred back to the City Attorney for rewriting since the oral report of the City Engineer and property owners indicated that the protests in Group "A" were more than the required amount of 60% to delete this area from the district This being the time for receiving bids for the purchase of five new police cars, 1957 models, bids were received from Inland Motor Company and Burrows Motor Company, it was moved by Alderson, seconded by Schutt that said bids be taken under advisement: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. This being the time for receiving bids on one new 1957 -1/2 ton pickup truck for the Irrigation Department, the bid of Burrows Motor Company in amount of.$1934.11 being the only bid received, it was moved by Alderson, seconded by Schutt that said bid be taken under advisement: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. An Ordinance creating the position of "Administrative Assistant to the Planning Directorf' and providing for the expenditure of $2120.00 for the payment of the salary of said assistant was read for the first time and laid on the table to be read again at the next meeting of the Commission on Monday May 13, 1957: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. This being the time for receiving bids on an asphalt distributor for the street department, the following bids were received: Columbia Equipment Company in amount of 7278.$0 less tradein ol000.00 - J6278.00 Howard Cooper Company in amount of 15485.00 less tradein $1600.00 - 3$$5.00 Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said bids be referred to the City Engineer for recommendation: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2021 rezoning certain specific property situate at the Northwest corner of Third Avenue and West Lenox from "B" Residence, Area 2,,, and. Business, Area 4, to Limited Business, Area 4, -Area-4� be passed as read: carried, Alderson Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -2021. AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the City of Yakima, Count of Yakima, Washington. Moved by Schutt, seconded by Alderson that Resolution No. C -1469 authorizing the Mayor to execute a Receipt Agreement with Yakima County for the installation of water pipes, valves, fire hydrant and appurtenances thereto, be passed as read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1469. A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to execute a Receipt Agreement with Yakima County for the installation of water pipes, valves, fire hydrant and appurtances thereto. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Bids having been received at the hour of 10:00 A.M. on this same day for an asphalt Distributor for the Street Department and the City Engineer recommending that the bid of Howard Cooper Corporation to furnish a Model BX Etnyre Distributor for $5,485.00, less trade, is the lowest and best bid, it was MOVED.by Alderson, seconded by Schutt that this bid be awarded as per recommendation: carried, Alderson and Schutt voting aye on roll call.
