HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/29/1957 Business Meetingr. 1 1 1 APRIL 29, 19 The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt and Mathews and Assistant Attorney Loy present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of April 22, 1957 and adjourned meeting thereof were read and approved. Bids having been received April 22, 1957 for the purchase of a self - contained air system compressor and one gas pumping unit for the City Garage and the bid of Picatti Bros. in the amount of 43$$.00 plus tax less the trade -in of the old compressor $75.00 for the compressor and the bid of Frank's Pump and Meter Company in the amount of $465.00 less 425.00 trade in for the Gas Pump, being the lowest and best bids, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said bids be awarded: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call: The City Engineer having reported the completion of the South First Street Domestic Water District, L.I.D. No. 843, by the contractor, it was MOVED by Mathews and seconded by Alderson that said work be accepted, and the City Engineer instructed to prepare the assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing for Monday, May 20, 1957, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m.: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Moved by Schutt and seconded by Mathews that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized to call for bids for filing equipment for the City Clerkts Office, said equipment to be used for Business Licenses provided for by Ordinance No. B -2014. Moved by Schutt and seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn. i ATTEST; CORRECTION MAY 6, 1957 M A Y O R Bids having been received April 22, 1957 for the purchase of a self- contained air system compressor and one-gas pumping unit for the Cify Garage and the bid of Picatti Bros. in amount of $3$$.00 plus tax less the trade -in of the old compressor $75.00 for the compressor and the bid of Frank's Pump and Meter Company in the amount of $465.00 less $25.00 trade in for the Gas Pump, being the lowest and best bids, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that said bids be awarded, and the City Attorney be and is hereby instructed to draw a Resolution providing for the transfer of funds within the Garage 1957 Current Expense Budget transferring $392.55 from Gas Pump Capital Outlay item to Tools and Equipment capital outlay item to take care of the above expenditure: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. /ITY C LERK 219
