APRIL 22, 1957
The City Commission met in regular session,Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews and Assistant Attorney Loy present on.roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April 15, 1957, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving and considering bids for the purchase of one (1)
complete self- contained air system compressor and one (1) service station type, self
contained gas pumping unit, the following bids were received:

Moved by Mathews and seconded by Schutt that said bids be referred to the Superintendent
of the City Garage for tabulation and recommendation: carried, Alderson, Schutt and
Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2020 relating to off- street
parking, and amending certain sections of the Zoning Ordinance No. B -293; be passed as
read: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2020. AN ORDINANCE relating to off- street parking, and amending
Section 15 of Zoning Ordinance No. B -293 entitled "An Ordinance regulating and restrict-
ing the location of trades and industries; regulating and limiting the use of buildings
and premises; and the height and size of buildings; providing for ;-yards, courts and
other open spaces; establishing districts for such purposes, and providing for a board
of adjustment, and repealing ordinance Nos. B -22, B -35, B -43, B -512 B -711 B -1263 B -1342
B -147 and B- 17211; defining the downtown business district; providing for minimum parking
space requirements for new buildings or structures or additions thereto within the city
of Yakima; providing for loading space requirements; defining gross floor area and
prescribing regulations for off- street parking; repealing Ordinance Nos. B -173$, B -1$11,
B -1$75, and 81949.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized
to call for bids for one (1) Asphalt Distributor as per specifications filed by the
City Engineer, said bids to be received up to the hour of 10 o'clock A. M. Monday,
May 6, 1957: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Schutt, seconded by Mathews that we do now adjourn to meet again at the hour of
2 o'clock p. m. on Tuesday, April 23, 1957: carried, Alderson, Schutt.and Mathews
voting aye on roll call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 1957, 2 O'CLOCK P.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt
present.'on:_roll_. call.' Commissioner Mathews absent.
Moved by Schutt, seconded by Alrbrson that we do now adjourn to meet again in regular
session on Monday April 29th at the hour of 10:00 a.m: carried, Alderson:and�:Schutt".
