APRIL 1, 1957
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews present on roll call. City Attorney absent.
Bids having been received March 25, 1957 for the construction of the 36th. Avenue
South and Swan Tracts, Irrigation District L.I.D. 852'and referred to the City
Engineer for recommendation, it was moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the
bid of De Blasio Bros., in amount of X45,898.70 being the lowest and best.-bid on
Schedule 1, alternate a) be awarded; carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
Since the City Engineer asked to refigure Schedule 11 covering the Swan Tracts area
in L.I.D. 852, award on this schedule was withheld awaiting further recommendation.
Two bids having been received from the Inland Motor Company on March 25, 1957 on a
used one ton, Willys Jeep Pickup for Tahoma Cemetery and the bid in the amount of
$1129.66 from this firm being deemed the lowest and best bid, it was moved by
Mathews, seconded by Alderson that this bid be accepted. carried, Alderson, Schutt
and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -2011 providing for the
expenditure of $3500.00 for the purchase of a turbine pumphouse at 5th Avenue and
D Street and the installation of electrical controls and irrigation lines for same,
for the Irrigation Department, said item not appearing in the 1957budget, be
passed as read:- carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -2011. -AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds -not
provided for in the 1957 Budget for capital outlays from-the Irrigation Fund of
the Irrigation Department and declaring an emergency.
The following being monthly estimates for work performed on City Projects during the
month of March, 1957:

and the City Engineer recommending that payments be made, it was moved by Schutt
and seconded by Mathews that the City Clerk ishereby authorized to issue the
necessary warrants in payment of same: carried, Alderson, Schutt and Mathews
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that we do now adjourn to meet again Wednesday,
April 3, 1957 at the hour of 3:00 P.M. carried: Alderson, Schutt and Mathews voting
aye on roll call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 321957, 3 O'CLOCK P.M.
Due to btsiness of more pressing nature, the City Commission did not meet in adjourned
session on Wednesday, April 3, 1957 as previously scheduled.
