JANUARY 14, 1957
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Alderson, Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews and Assistant Attorney Loy - present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of January 7, 1957 were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction-of curbs, gutters and
surfacing, L.I.D. No. 847, being the Buwalda Lane Curb and Gutter District, the follow-
ing bids were received:

the Westover, Terrace Sewer District and there being no protests in writing; or otherwise,
it was MOVED by Math.ews,.seconded by Schutt that Ordinance No. B -1986 confirming said
assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Alderson, - Sbhi1tt
and Mathews voting aye on roll call.

Ordinances of the City of Yakima.
.Bids having been received for the purchase of irrigation pipe and other supplies needed
in the construction of irrigation systems for the City of Yakima, on January 7, 1957,
it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that the bids be awarded as follows:

manner of payment for water, garbage and sewer service charges, be passed as read:

RESOLUTION NO. C -1952, A RESOLUTION providing for the manner of payment for water,
garbage and sewer service charges.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission to establish
an orderly procedure for the collection of charges for water, garbage and sewage
services, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TITHE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1 That payment for water service charges shall not be
accepted by the City Treasurer unless payment for garbage and sewer service charges is
made at the same time.

A Resolution was introduced and read by the Clerk setting forth the policy for construct
ing an industrial waste system in the City of Yakima, It was moved by Mathews that
th-is resolution be passed. Said resolution failed to pass for want of a second.
Moved b;T Schutt, seconded by Alderson that we do now adjourn to meet in regular session
at the ho -.!r of 10 o'clock a.m on Monday, the 21st day of . January, 1957: carried,
