OCTOBER 22, 1956
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Behnke, Commissioners Schutt and
Mathews and City Attorney Kenneth Hawkins present on roll call.
The minutes of.the Regular Meeting of October 15th and the adjourned meeting thereof
iP,re approved as read.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Behnke that, as a matter of record and to give bidders
additional time, the'City;Clerk was instructed on October 18, 1956, to advertise for
bids on High Intensity Lighting, the extension of the runway and the relocation of
Washington Avenge, all being improvements for the Yakima Municipal Airport, bids to be
received on or before November 5, 1956 at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m.: carried, Behnke,
Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Behnke that Resolution No. C -1423 authorizing the Chief
Building Inspector of the Planning Director to execute as agents of the City of Yakima,
agreements granting permission to property owners outside the corporate limits to tonne
to the municipal water system or the waste disposal system: carried, Behnke, Schutt
and Mathews voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1423, A RESOLUTION authorizing the Chief Building Inspector, or the
Planning Director, to execute as agents of the City of Yakima, Agreements granting
permission to property owners residing outside the corporate limits to connect to the
municipal domestic water system, and /or the municipal waste disposal system, a copy of
said Agreement being attached hereto;
WHEREAS, the City-Commissfon has approved certain requirements
for the extension of city services outside the city limits, and
WHEREAS, affected property owners must sign an Agreement with
the city for the extension of said services, and
WHEREAS, the city must execute said Agreement, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITTY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
1. That the Chief Building Inspector, or the Planning Director,
is hereby authorized, and empowered, to execute as agents of the City of Yakima,
Agreements granting permission to property owners residing outside the corporate limits
to connect to the municipal domestic water system, and/or municipal waste disposal
system.

RESOLUTION NO. C- 11}24, A RESOLUTION authorizing the acceptance and execution of Grant
Agreement by the Mayor and City Clerk.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has heretofore taken certain steps
towards the improvement of the Yakima Airport,

NOW, THEREFORE, for the purpose of furthering its intention to
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized on behalf of the City of Yakima to accept and execute Grant Agreement
Contract No. C4ca- 3947 -A, Project No. 9 -45- 023 -0705; a copy of said Grant Agreement
being attached hereto as Exhibit A and by this reference incorporated herein as though
fully set forth.

This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1415, a resolution of intention
to improve that - certain areato ber-known''as=the;De1rMa7 Terrace Paving District, and
there being a large number of protests, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Behnke
that the City Engineer be and is hereby instructed to delete the necessary portions of
said district and make a report at the next meeting on October 29, 1956: carried,
Behnke, Schutt and Mathews yoting aye on roll call.

vacation of the alley lying between Lot 5, Block 17, Elberta Addition to Yakima and Lot
12, Edsons Addition and the City Clerk having read the ordinance providing for the
above described vacation, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Behnke that said
ordinance be tabled for one week and be brought before the commission at the next
regular meeting on October 29, 1956: carried, Behnke, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that the Agreement between the City of Yakima
and the Economy Pest Control be tabled for one week and be brought before the commissi
at its next regular meeting on October 29, 1956: carried, Behnke Schutt and Mathews
voting aye on roll call.
