The minutes of the special and regular meetingsof October 1, 1956 and the adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C- 1107, providing for the'construc tion of curbs and gutters on Buwalda Lane and other streets more fully described in said resolution, and there being a petition of protest filed with 59 signatures affixed, It was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that this protest be referred to the City Engineer for evaluation and recommendation and that the Ordinance creating an L.I.D. ais readby the City Clerk be tabled and that the City Engineer's report and the Ordinance be considered again on October 15, 1956: carried, Behnke, Schutt and Mathews present on roll call. Moved byt a �gys geconded by Schutt that Resolution No. C -1117 providing -for the City of•Yakima i s op on in Paragraph 1 of Option Agreement and in Option Extension Agreement for the acquisition of a certain easement described in said option agreement, from Homer F. Lee and Sadie:.Lee, be passed as read: carried, Behnke, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1417, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKTMA: That the City of Yakima does hereby exercise its option referred to in Paragraph 1 of Option Agreement.dated November 21, 1955, and in Option Extension Agreement dated. June 26, 1956, for the acquisition from Homer F. Lee and Sadie E. Lee, husband and wife, of a certain easement more particularly described in said Option. Agreement. The appropriate city officials are hereb authorized and direct- ed to pay therefor pursuant to said option agreement the sum of 1'500.00, $100.00 having been previously paid, said easements being acquired for the sole purpose of use by the City in constructing a sixteen inch pipeline for obtaining additional domestic water, and said payment to be made from the Water Department fund; ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 8th day of October, 1956. RESOLUTION NO. C-1418, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKTMA : That the City of Yakima, does hereby exercise its option referred to'in Paragraph 1 of Option Agreement dated November 21, 1955, and in Option Extension Agreement dated June 26, 1956, for the acquisition from Squire- Ingham Company, a corporation, of certain easements more particularly described in said Option Agreement. The appropriate city officials are hereby authorized and direct- ed to pay therefor pursuant to said option agreement the sum of $2,000.00, $250.00 having been previously paid, said easements being acquired for the sole purpose of use by the City in- constructing a sixteen inch pipeline for obtaining additional domestic water, and said payment to be made from the water department fund. BEHNKE Mayor Moved by Mathews, seconded by Schutt that Resolution No. C- 1419 being a resolution of intention to improve Lots 6 to 20 inclusive of Crescent Hill Homes and that portion of Knobel Avenue being vacated, by constructing the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purposes of supplying water for domestic use and fire protection, and fixing the hearing as of Monday, the 29th day of October, 1956 at 10 o'clock a.m., be adopted as read: carried, Behnke, Schutt and Mathews voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1419, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKTMA: That it is its intention to improve the property within the following described district by constructing the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purposes of supplying water for domestic use and fire protection; all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the office of the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and specially benefited by and assessed for the above de`scri_bed improvement is situate in the City.of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: .Lots 6 to 20 inclusive, of Crescent Hill Homes and that portion of Knobel Avenue being vacated; said portion lying between the Yakima Valley Canal and a point 380 feet east of Crescent Hill Drive. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00,o'clock a.m-. on, onday, the 29th day of _x_49-1 I 1t0 OCTOBER 84 1956 October, 1956; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re- lating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto; and for determinging the metho of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. A portion of the costs and expenses of said improvement, includin the engineering, inspection, advertising, publicatio -n of notices, and any other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the above described property and the balance of said costs and expenses shall be borne by the City Water Department. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing, all of the data and. other information required by law to be by him submitted. RESOLUTION NO. C =1420, WHEREAS, Resolution Ncs. C -769 and C -1312 were adopted by the City Commission on January 6, 1948, and November 28, 1955, respectively, prescribing certain fees and charges for the operation of Tahoma Cemetery; and WHEREAS, it is now deemed necessary and advisable to revise said fees and charges; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED.
