ITEM TITLE: State Fair Park's requestfor4th of July firework participation

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The State Fair Park is requesting the City of Yakima assist with funding of the 4th of July
fireworks celebration this year. Should the Council decide to assist with funding for this event,
the City could match the County donation up to $15,000, which could be taken out of reserves
and replenished by year end. If Council wishes to take this action, staff could be directed to bring
back an agreement with the 4th of July Committee. The City has participated in funding this
celebration through an agreement with the 4th of July Committee in prior years.
