The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 20, 1956, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B- 1854,.providing for the transfer of funds from-certain budgeted items of Tahoma Cemetery for 1956, and declaring an emergency be,passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, ORDINANCE NO. B -1854, AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of,funds from certain budgeted items of the Tahoma Cemetery for 1956, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -13489 being a resolution of inten tion to improve all of Blocks 1and 2, Sutor Addition, and other property more fully de- scribed and set forth in said resolution, and fixing the date of hearing thereon, as of Monday, March -19, 1956 at 10 o °.clock a.m., be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, RESOLUTION NO. C -1348, BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE CI.TY.COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is,ite intention to improve the property within the fol- lowing described district by constructing a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes and flush tank with water connections therefor; all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with.the City Clerk, The district to be served by and specially benefited by and assessed for the above described improvement is situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: All of Blocks 1 and 2 of Sutor Addition; Lots 21, 30 and 31 of Suburban Acre Homes; Lots 36 to 40, .inclusive, First, Addition to Suburban Acre Homes; Vacated Street adjacent to Lot 40, First Addition to Suburban Acre Homes; Lots 59 to 63, inclusive, First Addition to Suburban Acre Homes; and, the East 152 feet of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 13 Nortl Range 18 E.W.M., Yakima County, Washington, All persons who may desire to object, to said proposed improvement Are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on-Monday, the 19th day of March, 1956; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the.City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the above described property, except that the City Sewer Fund is to bear the cost of the main in excess of that which would be required to serve this district, Said amount to be borne by the City Sewer Fund is estimated at $2,000.00. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the City Attorney be authorized to prepare an ordi- nance for the purchase of 10,000 sand sacks and sand to be used for flood emergency purposes; the cost of said sacks not to exceed the sum of $2,000.00: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
