This being the time for the hearing on the petition of Alan A. Hart, and others for the annexation of portions of 20th Avenue South and West Viola Avenue; also other property in said petition more particularly described and set forth thereof; it was MOVED by Huey seconded by Huza that ordinance No. B -1847, annexing said property and every part there- of, to the City of Yakima, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1847, AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Washington, of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1333, providing for the improve- ment of a sewer system on Fifth Avenue South and other property more particularly de- scribed in said resolution- it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No§ B -1848, creating L.I.D. 834, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -18480 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye branches and manholes and flush tanks with water connections therefor; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment thereof, and creating a special fund. Moved by.Huey, seconded -,by .Huza.that Ordinance No. B -1850, fixing the time of delinquen- cy of installments of assessments levied for the payments and prescribing the form of in L.I.D. No. 813, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1850, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of.delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of. the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 813, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that Ordinance No. B -18519 fixing the time of delinquens cy of assessments and prescribing the form of bond in L.I,D. No. 817, be passed as read: carried,. Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1851, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments.levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 817, and providing for the issuance of bonds with - coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. ORDINANCE N0. B -18529 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of.the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement, District No. 822, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof, Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No, B -1853, fixing the time of delinquen- cy of assessments and prescribing the form of bond in L.S.D. No. 827, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza.and Huey voting aye on roll call. - ORDINANCE NO,,B -1853, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of . the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No.. -827, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof.. This being the time for receiving bids for doing the.city printing and advertising for the ensuing year,.and the bid of the Republics Publishing Company being the only bid received in the sum of $1.20 per column inch; it was MOVED by Huza, seconded by Huey that said bid be accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execut a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima with the Republic Publishing Company, for doing said work: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the sum of $2,715.69, representing the City's shay for the employees in the Statewide City Employees Retirement System, be credited agains the balance remaining in the fund credited to the City under said System, for the year 1955: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. '-Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to call for bids by publication, as required by law, for three new automobiles for the Police De- partment; said bids to be received on Monday, the 12th day of March, 1956s at 10 o'clo a.m.: carried, Burns,,Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for the construction of a sewer system in Petzel Addition,.L.I.D. No. 832; said bids to be received on Monday, the 12th day of March, 1956, at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Burns Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. 6.9 J r.90 J FEBRUARY 20, 1956 Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. 0-1344, being a resolution of in- tention to improve property in the vicinity of Crescent Drive, and other property more fully described and set forth in said resolution, and fixing Monday, the 12th day of March, 1956 at the hour of 10 o8clock a.m. as the hearing on said resolution, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1344, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention -to .improve the property within the fol- lowing described district by constructing a pipe sewer with the necessary manholes and wye branches; all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance, with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, The district to be served by and specially benefited by and assessed for the above described improvement is situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: Beginning 816.feet South and 20 feet east of the northwest corner, of the Northeast quarter of .Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.; thence South 530'060 East 159.6 feet; thence South 796 490 East 12.6 feet; thence South 110 feet; thence East 46.1 feet; thence South 234 feet; thence West 186.1 feet to the east line of Crescent Drive; thence north, along said east line of Crescent Drive 442 feet to the point of beginning, situate in the.City of Yakima, County of Yakima and State of Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o.'elock a.m. on Monday the 12th day of March, 1956; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment fox said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice.of said hear- ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvements. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvements., including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, obtaining right -of -way easements and all other expenses Incident thereto, shall be levied-and-assessed against the above described property as provided -by law; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted._ ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 20th day of February, 1956. C -13459 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA$- WASHINGTON: That the City of Yakima does hereby give its final acceptance of the Englewood Heights Reservoir and Pumping Station Project pursuant to contract therefor with Big Bend, Inc., subject only to the clean -up items mentioned in letter of January 4, 1956 of Mr. Holly Cornell (which because of weather conditions cannot be now completed and which are to be completed before May 1, 1956); and the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay to said contractor the unpaid balance of said con- tract except for withholding the sum -of $2480.00 until completion_ of. said clean -up work and the sum of $250.00 until -satisfaction, payment or withdrawal -of claim filed by Yakima Cement Products Company, or total withholding in the sum of $2730.00. Lisk and wife, in that certain airport condemnation suit now pending in the Superior Court of Yakima County, in the sum of $39000.00, upon receipt of a suitable deed from said Lisk to the City of Yakima, for the property more fully de- scribed and set forth in said resolution, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, RESOLUTION NO. C -1346, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the City of Yakima shall make a compromise settlement with Derwin E. Lisk and Avis Lo Lisk, his wife, defendants in that certain airport condemnati© suit now pending, Cause Igo. 39819, in the Yakima County Superior Court, by the payment to Lisk of the sum of $3,000.00 upon receipt of a suitable deed conveying to said City the following described real estate situated in Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter. of the Northwest quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence Northerly along the West line of Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter 275 feet; thence South 70 0038 East 709.1 feet more or less to the East line of the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 35; thence Southerly along said East line a distance of 35.38 feet, more or less, to the South J J L11 '�I 1 1 FEBRUARY 20.1956 line of said Southeast quarter of Northwest quarter; thence Westerly along said South line a distance of 667.38 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, together with all water rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging, containing approximately 2.38 acres; SUBJECT to unpaid taxes for the year 1956, and SUBJECT to reservations, easements and rights of way, if any, appearing in the chain of title or otherwise. And upon release of said property from the mortgage thereon to Liberty Savings and Loan Association now of record, the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized and di- rected to do.any and all things necessary and proper for closing said agreed compromise settlement. San- ford, for the purpose of keeping livestock on the North half of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 29 -13 -19 E.W.M., with certain exceptions thereof, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-13479 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Yakima a lease with L. H. Sanford of certain premise owned by the City of Yakima as more fully described in said lease for the purpose of keeping livestock on said premises, for the agreed rental and under the terms and condi- tions as more fully set-forth in said lease, a copy thereof being attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
