Below is the history of council meeting times:
*Ordinance No. 2006 -03 dated January 17, 2006, established the meeting times at 6 p.m. on
the first and third Tuesday of every month
*No ordinance — Council meeting of 9 -19 -95 under other business - -Moved by Sims, seconded
by Berger, to go on a twice a month, first and third Tuesday meeting schedule indefinitely, with
the exception during budget time, at which time staff will coordinate with Council on scheduling
those meetings. The motion carried by 4 -2 voice vote.
*Ordinance No. 2886 dated July 2, 1985, established the meeting times at 2 p.m. on Tuesday of
each week, except that no regular meeting shall be held on the fifth Tuesday of any month.
*Ordinance No. 2702 dated June 28, 1983, established the meeting times at 2 p.m. on Tuesday
of each week, except that no regular meeting shall be held on the fifth Tuesday of any month,
except for the meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of January, April, July and October, which
convened at 6:30 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 2624 dated July 13, 1982, established the meeting times at 1:30 p.m. on
Tuesday of each week, except the meetings on the second Tuesday of the months of January,
April, July and October, which convened at 6:30 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 2587 dated January 19, 1982, established the meeting times at 1:30 p.m. on
Tuesday of each week, except for the meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, which
were held at 6:30 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 2382 dated March 11, 1980, established the meeting times at 1:00 p.m. on
Tuesday of each week except for the meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, which
were held at 6:30 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 2292 dated April 23, 1979, established the meeting times of 2 p.m. on the first
and third (and months with a fifth Tuesday) Tuesday of each month; the second and fourth
Tuesday of each month, the meeting was held at 7:00 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 1490 dated January 29, 1973, established the meetings on Monday of each
week at 1:30 p.m. except the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 388 dated October 22, 1962, established the meeting times on Monday of each
week at 3 p.m. except on the third Monday of each month at 8 p.m.
*Ordinance No. 285 dated September 21, 1961, established the meeting times on Monday of
each week at 3 p.m.
