A RESOLUTION setting the time and place for a public hearing on August 20, 2013
at 7.00 PM in the City of Yakima Council Chambers to hear from
the public regarding smoking at special events, smoking in parks
and smoking near playgrounds.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has had complaints about smoking in public
places, and
WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to hear from the public on the issues of
smoking in various public places, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That issues regarding smoking in various public places shall be presented for
hearing and determination on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the hour of 7:00 p m. in the
Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, or as
soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as
approved by law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 6th day of August, 2013.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Smoking at special events, in parks and near playgrounds in Yakima
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Yakima will hold a public
hearing to receive testimony relating to smoking.at special events, in parks and near
playgrounds in Yakima.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council
Chambers at City Hall located at 129 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington.
Any citizen wishing to comment on this issue is welcome to attend the public hearing or
contact the City Council in the following manner:
1) Send a letter via regular mail to "Yakima City Council, 129 N. 2 d Street,
Yakima, Wa. 989011;- or,
2) E -mail your comments to ccouncil @yakimawa.gov. Include in the e -mail
subject line, "Smoking." Please also include your name and mailing address.
